“What shall I wear to the prom?” Talking Barbie says… and the latest answer to that question is her brand new ‘Fab City’ from 1969, which as you can see is in amazing condition. It is another outfit I have been wanting for YEARS, so I am thrilled to finally land a very nice looking one that isn’t stained, with those 3-D flowers intact on the skirt and with silver lamé that hasn’t gone threadbare. The pink satin belt and stole lining has faded somewhat (as is common with this outfit) but it coincidentally now matches the lighter factory hair ribbons of this ‘Pink Premiere’ giftset gal. I’m sure Ken is going to be wowed!

Hi Anne-Marie! really lovely meeting you, Oliver, Jane and all the other friends enjoying the Liverpool On The Waterfont Festival.............. Specially Beverley Knight!! - thought I'd give you a special picture to remember your time in our fab city of Liverpool, wasn't she just an amazing singer and woman??...........more pictures to come.

Looks at it's best when viewed large, press L on your keyboard.

Barbie Outfit # 1874. Fab City from 1969. This really is an amazing dress! I absolutely love the design, colors and the fabrics used in this ensemble, but I have never had this on my wishlist of Mod era fashions... I guess mainly because I am pretty picky about condition, and this is one of those outfits that just always seems to be in rough shape when found. I was able to score the complete outfit for less than what I have seen the HTF pink gloves sell for by themselves... It is not perfect, but definitely was a great score. I could not be happier. I decided to put this on my TNT Christie. I think it really looks great with her lip and hair color.

Greetings all. I really hope you are all well. I will get through all your photos at some point over the next couple of weeks and comment accordingly :-)

We are back from the US and Canada. Had the best time ever. The Betmeister (aka Betty, aka Dogface) is whacked out. I think she spends her whole time in kennels yapping so doesn't get much sleep hehe. I gave her a much needed haircut finally today too!

Highlights of the trip (a quick overview as I'm too tired to upload pics tonight):

- Seeing family in Chicago and Virginia

- The view from the top of the Sears Tower in Chicago (and Chicago in general - what a fab city!)

- Visiting Pike Place Market in Seattle

- Dining at the top of the Space Needle in Seattle

- Vancouver Aquarium and Stanley Park

- Canadian Rockies...truly amazing

- Lake Louise and staying at the Fairmont Chateau....wow!

- Avoiding Grizzly Bears at Patricia Lake in Jasper

- The new 'Newseum' in Washington DC

- Eating at Gordon Ramsays restaurant in New York City

- The view from the top of the Rockefeller Centre

- Wandering around Greenwich Village and Central Park (trying to avoid the crowds)!

- Celebrity spotting - Michael McKean (Spinal Tap fame) and Jake Gyllenhaal (yum!) were the only ones we saw. I successfully avoided the bedlam of the Sex and the City premier!

Plus many more! Just need to trawl through all my photos now.....
