A photo of my contact Ellen Steiof taken on our recent flickr tour of the Zeche Zollverein in Essen, Germany. Here, Ellen is no doubt taking one of her brilliant floral shots. She is a very talented lady both in front off and behind the camera - pay her photostream a visit, I'm sure you'll find something you like.
Ooppss, I wrote Ellen's name wrong, it should now be correct, sorry Ellen!

Ellen (9) is one of my piano pupils, and wanted a blue house with a Classical interior. She is also a cellist hence the cello painting on the far right. The walls are decorated with 5p coins and buttons. Note the miniature dollshouse on the floor.
The house has since been furnished including playmobil piano in it from ebay.
Edit:
This is the last one I post here. Since we are no longer allow to post any new one unless we can acquires license.

One of three photos (all in cabinet card size), in a set of three, of Ellen, Ellen and her husband Henrik Gahn, and her mother Augusta Björkman. The photo is taken in Stockholm and the year 1888 is written on the back - it is the same year she got married, but since it seems unlikely she would hide her wedding ring I think it's very likely this photo was taken earlier that year.
Alice Ellen Silfverstolpe (sometimes spelt Silverstolpe) was born in Stockholm on the 2nd of July 1866. She was the 6th child of Augusta Vilhelmina Björkman and David August Leonard Silfverstolpe (major general), and the second daughter - but her older sister Aline died just 2 years old, less than 3 weeks before the birth of Ellen.
Ellen married Henrik Gahn (1855-1910) on September 29 1888 in Stockholm. He was a captain at the regiment of Västmanland and disponent (a title hard to translate, but similar to a top boss in a shareholding company) at Kåfalla bruk.
Here's a photo of her mother:

There are a number of shipwrecks close to the South Pier, many of them wrecked during gales in the autumn of 1901. Others are wrecks of craft used by South Shields Volunteer Life Brigade.
The Constance Ellen is a well-known wreck in the area but it was part of a whole series of wrecks in and around the South Pier area just before and after the turn of the last century. Their history is well-recorded.
The Littlehampton-registered Constance Ellen was wrecked in the Great Gale, which raged off the East Coast on November 12 and 13 1901. All eight sailors were saved.
Previously more of the wreck was exposed but a lot of the wreckage was cleared several years ago when a child was injured.
The two-masted vessel was carrying a cargo of iron bars from its home port to Bowness.
The wreck happened on the afternoon of November 12. Hurricane-force winds left the ship's sails in shreds and led to the vessel being driven helplessly towards the shore.
The Volunteer Life Brigade was on standby throughout the crisis.
Crew fired five rockets over the ship before the men were taken off the ship by breeches buoy. Thousands of people watched the operation from the shore.
Many of the ships damaged during the storm were re-floated but the Constance Ellen held fast because of its cargo.
The Sandwich-registered Lord Dufferin ran aground almost in the same place less than two hours later.
Story taken from the Shields Gazzette.
Photography as part of a set for a friend's film make -up portfolio hence the dramatic peepers. Uncropped. Dappled effect via hessian sacking held up to left. Looks not too shabby in Lightbox - press 'L'.

Sometimes when you've no one to photograph you just have to remember where you put your remote control and you're in business........
I've been using Gimp all these years and today I got Photoshop.
I haven't even opened it yet.
I'm a little nervous about using it and hope that I can manage to get the hang of it ok.
Or it's right back to my trusty ole Gimp
