Boltenhagen at the Baltic Sea in Northern Germany. Photo is taken with an iPhone 4S and edited with Snapseed and DramaticB&W, unfortunately the last app does not keep the EXIF data but it's results are quite stunning.
J’aime beaucoup ce genre de photo qui déroute les sens. Une photo qui nous fait demander ; mais qu’est-ce donc au juste ? Début de réponse :
je suis à la hauteur de la verrière de la Plaza St-Hubert - donc, à l’étage. Déjà, c’est pas un angle qui nous est familier puisque généralement, nous marchons sous la verrière. La verrière est givrée. Et il fait soleil. L’ombre de l’arbre se découpe sur la surface glacée et givrée. Dans le bas de la photo, nous apercevons la rue St-Hubert (et une automobile). La structure de métal qui supporte la verrière est bien visible. Et ô surprise, il y a un sac de plastique accrochée à cette structure.

Le bout du chemin, mais pas de la route.
Il arrive à l’occasion au bureau que je sois appelé à jouer le rôle de photographe. Et c’est arrivé pas plus tard que la semaine dernière ; nous avions besoin de quelques photos d’un nouveau produit. Bémol : on avait oublié de me demander d’apporter mon équipement photo. J’ai donc utilisé ce que j’avais sous la main (ce qu’exprime bien la photo) :
- le D90 du bureau (sans flash);
- une lentille bien ordinaire (Nikkor 18-105 mmm que je n’apprécie pas particulièrement);
- une lumière naturelle incidente;
- quelques cartons de montage;
- l’envers d’un parapost;
- un escabeau.
Avec un peu de débrouillardise, j’ai pu arriver a un résultat convenable.
Mais cette photo signe aussi la fin d’une époque - ou plutôt, la fin du chemin (mais pas de la route) : Après plus de 11 années au service de la maison d’édition Modulo, mon contrat - qui était expiré depuis août 2012 mais qui avait été prolongé de facto - ne sera finalement pas renouvelé. Au début du mois de février, nous apprenions que Modulo avait été vendu à Chenelière Éducation (transcontinental). Et chez Chenelière, on ne semblait pas avoir besoin de mon expertise d’analyste des métadonnées et d’archiviste. Ce qui fait qu'aujourd'hui, je me retrouve sans emploi pour la première fois depuis des lustres. Sans emploi et sans source de revenue aussi. Donc, si vous avez besoin d’un archiviste d’expérience et de profession, ben je suis disponible... (vous comprenez un peu mieux maintenant mon relatif silence ici depuis quelques temps ; je n’avais pas spécialement la tête à faire de la photo).
