This one dragon fly landed just on a stem slightly downward giving me this a nice dark backdrop - at the same time the light was skimming through the upper end of the view to highlight the dragonfly's wings. I was excited and pretty much came out very close to what I expected. I was still happy enough to post.
A dragon flew across the evening sky and brought the great storm. For all her rage she lost an egg which slowly vanished in darkness. I hope we're not gonna lose these dragon storms now, they always create an amazing views on the sky!

Charles Esseltine's Dragon. Made from some type of really nice silver tissue that I found long ago at a party supply store...probably the only thing I've ever folded from tissue-foil that I was happy with!

You would have to be here at low tide with a gentle swell to be able to get down onto the rock shelf here
There was a meter of water rushing across the shelf this morning
We arrived after dark on our roadtrip last year so we had a bit of a search to find this before sunrise which didn`t happen looking out over the southern ocean

It was fortuitous that this juvenile water dragon (Physignathus lesueurii - at least I think it is after some googling) came scurrying into my backyard that weekend as I'd just purchased the Tamron 90mm f2.8 VC macro lens the day before.
It was climbing up our screen door when I spotted it. I managed to take over 50 photos, and it just stayed there, completely calm, even with a lens staring at it less than 30cm away. I wanted to focus mainly on the eyes as I could see that it had an amazing colour and texture to it.

This sea defense reminds me of a dragon's tail whipping about. This was a very stormy day and was hell on the filters. I think this was the wettest I have been after taking photos in a long time.
