Man is fond of counting his troubles, but he does not count his joys. If he counted them up as he ought to, he would see that every lot has enough happiness provided for it. ~Fyodor Dostoevsky
“But I always liked side-paths, little dark back-alleys behind the main road- there one finds adventures and surprises, and precious metal in the dirt.”

Everywhere men do nothing but take something to conquer himself or another.
Fёdor Dostoevsky
Above all, don't lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.
Bear circumspectly and gladly dishonour that cometh upon thee by no act of thine own, be not confounded and hate not him who hath dishonoured thee.
~Fyodor Dostoevsky

"The darker the night, the brighter the stars" Fyodor Dostoyevsky (one of my favorite authors ever).
The 3rd of the black serie in Annwn Willows. Actually this is the first scene i got after i moved my cam from underwater with this WL and it let me speechless. Thus i couldn't resist to make a snapshot.
This one is also Raw. I just cropped it and added my signature.
“The darker the night, the brighter the stars,
The deeper the grief, the closer is God!”

Man is a creature who can get used to anything, and I believe that is the very best way of defining him.

“Man, do not pride yourself on your superiority to the animals, for they are without sin, while you, with all your greatness, you defile the earth wherever you appear and leave an ignoble trail behind you -- and that is true, alas, for almost every one of us!”

Emanuel Swedenborg - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emanuel_Swedenborg - was a prominent statesman and scientist during the 18th century. After a much accomplished life Swedenborg began having mystical visions. He ascribed these visions to God and subsequently devoted his life to a Spiritual message. His message is rooted in the Bible and emphasizes divine providence, married love, Spiritual regeneration, and human usefulness.
A list of a few writers influenced by Swedenborg - www.swedenborg.org.uk/writers-influenced-by-swedenborg
For eight days in February and March 2010 the Swedenborg Society will be staging a unique site responsive exhibition of artworks, photography, sound and film installation, performance and text in its four-story listed building in Bloomsbury, London. This is a wonderful opportunity for many people who are not acquainted with Emanuel Swedenborg to visit this wonderful building in central London and really enjoy the experience. I highly recommend it.
This is the first painting in a series commemorating The Swedenborg Society’s 200th Anniversary.
