As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the App Cortex Camera for iPhone, before any editing. The file is saved as a 12mp Image (the default for Cortex Camera when using an iPhone 5). The original image can be found below.
First of all I used PhotoToaster to edit the image. The edits were made by sharpening the image. I then applied the Lomo filter with the Cross Cut effect. Next I used the App Scratchcam to add some scratches and texture. I then used an App called Distressed FX to add more texture to the picture using the Birds overlay and the Lade Texture. Last of all I passed the image through an App called Alt Photo using the Technicolor (Two-Strip) Vintage color filter.
The original photo was taken in Stivichall or Styvechale Croft, Coventry (Stivichall is the ancient parish name, Styvechale is the more modern spelling). The photo is of Smithy Cottage. The cottage is brick-built and probably of late-17th-century origin. It is a Grade II Listed cottage that was restored after it was damaged by bombing during the Second World War. We pass this cottage a few times each week on the way home from my daughters choir practice. It has been for sale for a while now and we joke that if we win the Lottery we would buy it. One day Maybe !!

The photo was taken using the camera App ProCam for iPhone. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used an app called Leonardo to edit the image. This was done by adjusting the Colour Vibrance, Clarity and Brightness. I also boosted the Sharpness and Shadow Detail of the picture. Next I used Mextures to apply some lighting and texture to the picture. The preset that I applied was called Saturated Purple by Neal Dieker. After that I used the app Alien Sky to add the large Moon to the image. I then used Distressed FX to add a few layers of Overlays and Textures to the picture, the First layer was the Overlay called Egret and the Texture called Vanilla. The Second layer I added the Birds to the image with the Overlay Birds - Soulmate and the Texture called Broken. The last layer was the Overlay called Stirred and the Texture called Vanilla (second time using the same texture). Finally I used PhotoToaster to apply the Canvas texture and add the Shadow II frame.
The original photo was taken today in Kenilworth. This is a view of Kenilworth Castle. This time however I have taken the photo from another angle. This is an image taken from the side of the main Carpark of the edge of the Castle. I could not include all of the castle in this image because there is a lot of scaffolding in place on most of this side of the Castle.
