The image today was taken early this evening in Coventry City Centre. It is a view looking up a cobbled lane in the Cathedral quarter called Hill Top. The Spire that can be seen in in the background belongs to the Grade I listed Holy Trinity Church.
The photo was taken using the App VividHDR on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to straighten the image. I then used some selective editing to lower the glare of the lamps. Next I applied the Tonal Contrast filter along with a small vignette. I then used the app ShockMyPic to give the image a slight painterly look. Next I used DistressedFX to add the birds using the Trio birds overlay and the Bliss texture. I then flattened the image and added the Lily overlay and the Lade texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, the Drama FX, the Canvas texture and the Charcoal frame.
Apps used: Snapseed, PhotoToaster, Laminar, Modern Grunge, DistressedFX, Superimpose, Diptic.
Special thanks to MartinaP. who brought to my attention David Hayes' tutorial about "frame-within-a-frame" techniques.

29/365 - took this shot while sitting in traffic on a country road with camera+. The image was edited with dynamic light and mextures for lighting and textre, then Snapseed for sharpening which was then blended with a copy run through segmantix in superimpose. Birds are added through distressedfx and superimpose. Finally a vintage tone along with slight tilt shift and vignette added in wood camera.
These cows pass my little datcha in the countryside twice a day. Here they are on their way to the pasture. Soon this daily ritual will be over. In winter they stay in their stable. I took this picture on a misty sunday morning. Apps: Snapseed, Modern Grunge and DistressedFX.
Listen as the wind blows,
From across the great divide.
Voices trapped in yearning,
Memories trapped in time...
As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the camera App KitCam for iPhone and saved as a TIFF file before any editing. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used Snapseed to edit the image. The edits were made by cropping the image into square. I then applied a Drama filter. Next I used the App called Wood Camera to apply a Texture called Aquatic 1 to the picture. I then used PicFX to add the Bokeh light effects and some more texture. Finally I used the App Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Cole overlay and the Vanilla Texture.
The original photo was taken this evening overlooking some waste ground not far from where I live.
Photographed and edited with iPhone5S
Apps used: Superimpose, Leonardo, Retouch, Lenslight, Mextures, DistressedFX
