Created with a custom built zoom machine that rotates my lens from 14mm to 24mm.

As the sun set I knew the milkyway was coming up in this direction so I decided to composite a "blue hour" foreground shot with the milky way backdrop shot. The original silhouette foreground image doesn't show the amazing rock formations. And I didn't want to overpower the foreground either by making it unnaturally overexposed for the time of night it was. So I still kept it quite dark, with just enough light to make out the detail of the awesome landscape.

Sorry for not posting in a couple of weeks.. I've been on the road trying to expand and build my portfolio. I traveled cross country stopping at various locations to get some amazing shots and experience life outside of my comfort zone. I have a ton of photos to edit but here is one of my 03' matrix at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. Story and more photos coming ASAP. Cheers

Cherry springs state park PA is one of the darkest places on the east to view the night sky. I was so amazed on how clearly and the quantity of stars that I was able to see. It is truly a wonderful experience and I highly recommend camping out there on a clear night! Thanks for viewing!
