Took a bus of No.17 from Demachi as it was highly recommended by my Japanese's flickr contact for autumn photography . It was packed with locals and the duration took an hour standing on it. The daily bus pass of 500yen did not cover and you have to fork out the balance. This was the only temple that provided plastic bags for your feet. Very good maintenance indeed. Expect the unexpected, I was given a "GIFT" and only discovered it when checking my camera bag a week after the 11 days trip. Hope it will materialized and I shall come back again . Mysterious encounter!

Aoi Matsuri is one of the biggest three festivals in Kyoto. The festival is known as the most elegant and wabi-sabi-ish festival in Japan. The old fashioned parade which is decorated like people actually lived in Heian period. They start to walk at Kyoto Imperial Palace. The number of the parade is over five hundreds of people. The well-decorated parade heads for the Kamigamo Shrine via the Shimogamo Shrine.
