My friend Aravind's gift to my daughter.
Amiltha wanted to photograph this chick to make an photo ID, so that she can take this to her school :-)
I cheated and took this yesterday evening. It's my boyfriends day off so I want to just spend the day with him and not worry about my daily photo. I am pretty happy I took it yesterday too, cause it's a rainy day here in FL with that hurricane a-coming. :-)
p.s I still have paint in my hair from yesterday. I think blue hair would be pretty cool.

Day 59 / 365
"Journey"
To begin a journey is not to escape life within us but unravel the thoughts that we are free all along.
-Hmm?! I guess C3Po & Wall-E are planning for a trip!

I'm back after a short hiatus that started with the Alabama 5 day blackout almost 2 weeks ago!! Then I traveled to Taiwan and I didn't have much time for posting pics either, but here are some from last week as well. I hope I can get in the groove to post again everyday!!
588 days since the last time I stood here. It was good to be back.

Well I missed a few days because I was so sick, but oh well, sometimes it goes like that.
Check out how we spent last sunday on the blog:
30 days of gratitude
my windowsills. they are the catch all for our trinkets and treasures. that and my pockets, which then means my washer and dryer... but if i remember, they make it here.
Remembering the days as a child where the most difficult thing in life was choosing which color to use from the box first. :-)
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

day 354...
I have been wanting to try this for awhile.. I think it turned out quite nicely.. look more blue tones! lol .. I can't believe Im almost done with my 365.. 12 more days..
Afraid these will be my go-to pics when the inspiration runs low.
This red-headed woodpecker is not eating tuna. I originally made a pine cone bird feeder but the deer stole it. So I sprinkled bird seed on the railing but the birds knocked it all about and onto the ground which put the birds at feral cat risk. So we weighed down a cleaned tuna fish can (no --- the cats won't be drawn to that - LOL) and put the bird seed in it. so far it has been working well
So happy with how this turned out and the entire rest of the roll as well. 190 days is a whole bunch.

…Caught up in a little day dream, a chickadee…
Your comments are always welcomed and appreciated, but mostly I want to thank you, for just taking the time to look.
Four days of windy, stormy, overcast weather. It has been nice lounging around the house, and getting caught up on some processing. I've racked up a ton of images in the last six months, and I'm super slow when it comes to processing my images, so the down time has been nice. On the other hand I'm going crazy. One of my contacts lenspath had the perfect saying, and fits perfectly on how I'm feeling at the moment..........."although I'm sitting here, my mind can still travel."
Hope everything is going well for everyone, have a great week.
The most amazing Poppy ever...
I am so in love with her, she is so beautiful and amazing...
My fave doll ever :-)
Took this in Yorktown with the sun shining right at it!
Thank you for taking a moment out of your day to view my photo!! I appreciate your views, comments, awards and favs :) Have a wonderful day!!
98/365. A Happy Place ~ for Cheryl & Scott
I think tonight I've finally pushed my limits for a while in regards to taking out the stubby with a portable strobist setup in-a-bag. It took near 45 minutes to complete the entire thing, from buying a newspaper (80 cents), to travel (BART - $1.50), scouting an area (this trolly stop), and having a homeless teenager snap the photo ($3).
In the end it was worth it. Hope everyone had a great Wednesday. Techy dorks read on:
setup, camera, and strobist info: see here
{EDIT}: You can buy these shirts at the Molt:n shop.
All day I’ve built

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Stopped at the park on my way home for work and found this great big bunch of yellow flowers... perfect to play around with the Lensbaby :)
I havent given up and I dont plan on it. Lately I have felt like ive been struggling with my photography but ik that i need to just keep going much like this project.
The good old days of sound and substantial construction! The Cobb wall protects boats in the harbour at Lyme Regis from the high seas of Lyme Bay in the English Channel. This iteration of the Cobb has been in place since it was last breached in 1824. Prior to that there is record of there having been a similar construction here since at least 1313. This story of antiquity, and in part the inclement weather on the day, led me into taking a shot of people wrapped against the elements and then processed into sepia to recreate a bygone age of yesteryear so often referred to as "the good old days".

" Solitude"

Sitting on the picnic table outside the office I work out of watching the sun sink. It was so pretty tonight. It was a long day, but this was my reward.
Happy fence Friday everyone !
TGIF.....hope you all have a fabulous weekend.
Thanks for stopping to view, comment and if you like fave, all are very much appreciated :o)
90/365 -- Against the Crowd
I can't believe I made it to Day 90!!! Well, I'm almost done with this project (only 275 days to go)! haha...
For this photo, I wanted the "US versus THEM" feel. When you're clearly outnumbered, sometimes the most sensible thing to do is run. It takes a lot of courage to stand side by side and face the crowd.
Strobist info: 1x SB-800 high subject right. 1x SB-600 just left of marbles at the background creating the bokeh.
