Hey Mister, You wanna buy some Girl Scout Cookies?????
So the day has arrived. My dining room is full of cases of cookies to be distributed. We only bought 8 boxes ourselves, but that is usually just a jumping off point once the cupboard is open. Man, I'm gonna get FAT! ;-)

I love those outdoor cafes, especially when covered with flowers. I wish there were more outdoor cafes where I live ... nothing beats sitting under one of those umbrellas, drinking coffee, chatting with friends, sketching, enjoying the views ...

"The Vow"
"I vow to love you and no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find a way back to each other. I will share with you tears and happiness. I will honor and support you as you are my other half and I love you as I always will.

Day 328/365 - I was getting ready for work yesterday and I liked how the sun was shining in my bathroom window.
I had a few shots of the lower half of me lately and nothing really of my face. I have been feeling kinda fugly lately, breaking out and wearing my glasses a lot. Been too lazy to get all pretty for my shots. LOL So today I made somewhat of an effort, figured you all might think I lost my head or something. Just wanted to show that I still have it. Oh and I was gonna do the FGR today but I got rid of all my ugly shirts and Clem suggested a bra, so I'm just going with that.

I'm very busy in this period, I had little time for the autumn project but I will try to recover :)
Have a nice day to everyone

I've put a painterly filter on this image, mostly because I didn't like the sharpness of the original but I didn't want to scrap it.
love of mine some day you will die
But I'll be close behind
I'll follow you into the dark
No blinding light or tunnels to gates of white
Just our hands clasped so tight
Waiting for the hint of a spark
If heaven and hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

I DID IT! I survived 365 days, so a little enthousiasm is permitted, right?
So well, this is it. A year (and a day, since Nathalie told me I was supposed to end yesterday). And to be honest, it's been long enough. I haven't been so committed the last 100 days, but quitting wasn't an option. I've put so much of myself in this project. I've been through so much these past 365 days, and here I am. I survived. Of course I did. But I wouldn't be the same person I am now without photography or without Lena. One year ago, I didn't know what the last day of my 365 would be, I had no clue. But I knew it would be with Lena. She's been so important for me, I just can't describe it.
I didn't upload daily, I didn't post old pictures when I had no 365 for that day, I only uploaded pictures I liked on flickr. I'm glad I made this something personal and didn't force myself to upload daily.
Well, I don't know what's going to happen right now, but it will work out. I'll try to find a good balence between photography and school. And I won't leave flickr, I owe this website too much. I've met so many amazing people on here. So now I finally get to thank them.
Taylor, Nathalie, Catalina, Hilal, Amelia, Ylana, Birthe, Lauren, Luisa, Matt, Levke and last but not least Tony.
And thank you to everyone who's been following my stream, it means the world to me that people believe in me :) BIGGEST HUG EVER <3
19/52 - Teleidoscope theme: "Speed"
International day of Photography! o/

So I went out today for some photos and I was so so sooooooo happy to see this!
I stayed there for a while looking at these wonderful colours that I never saw there, I was so happy!
And there are still so many people who can't feel the joy of seeing such beautiful colours!
Anyways, I took some photos and I couldn't choose which one to post for today! So you'll surely see some more photos in the next days!
Hope you all had a lovely Saturday! :)
It looks better on black, please press "L" :-))
I came upon these abandoned farm buildings near the town of High River, Alberta a few days ago as I made my way home from a trip to Drumheller. I ended up camping in Longview before heading home through Kanaskis Country.
We think about tomorrow then it slips away
We talk about forever but we've only got today
And the days go by
I can feel 'em flying
Like a hand out the window
As the cars go by

30 days of gratitude
the LIGHT!!!!!
and my tiny PEN camera that seems to have superpowers when it comes to capturing it!
Taken at about 5 in the morning off Sanibel Island. It was the strangest thing--when I took this, it was pitch black outside with the stars and moon bright, with just the faintest, barely noticeable hint of red on the horizon. I was so surprised when I saw this picture, because this wasn't a thing like what it really looked like. I guess camera's do lie. Maybe it's because of a 30 second exposure....? I'm not really quite sure why it turned out like this. I like it though.
Home again!
for some reason this reminds me of long ago days on the beach...
**eta- i was standing in the water when i took this, using my 350d. it didnt get wet, though that was probably just good luck! to get the effect of being so close to the water, the trick is to hold the camera upside down....especially if you have a battery grip, as it brings the view closer without bringing the camera closer....
I am so uninspired the last days
but I love my shoes, hehe :)
today is going to be a really exhausting day :oo

Old.
This is one of those few that I made for days like this when I have no time or energy for photography, so I made this a while ago just in case.
School was good today.
I have some homework, not too much though. But I'm just not in the mood at all to do it.
God, I am like dying in photo class. I love photo and all, but I'm like so dazing off when we're being taught about aperature and shutter speed and focus rings and camera buttons. Because I know all that stuff, and I love being reminded about all those things, like it's so great to make sure what I've been taught/self-taught in the past is correct, but I'm just too excited for like photo projects/work that I'm getting antsy and impatient. haha
so, off to do biology, photo, and geometry homework. suppuhhh fun(:
A very still but rather grey start to the day resulted in some appealing muted tones and nice reflections in this shot of the First Vermillion Lake on the outskirts of Banff.
After a sad day covered by the threatening clouds
The sunset sheds its sorrow on the fields
Like a river which takes its spring in the marshes of war
Or close to the ocean with the multiple blood reflections
There where the sun sinks and dies
I run on the hills but the red sphere
Escapes once again
So the color of joy disappears
Sorrow comes towards me
Just a small door is opened
In the immensity of the heavy skies
Which lets in at last some rays of blood
Judgement day has come...
i am
spirit.
thankful for faith in a higher power.
For my 30 days of gratitude project.
