E, finalmente,

Todas as fotos Foram queimadas

E todo o passado

É apenas uma lição Que aprendemos

Não vou esquecê-lo,

David Blaine tries pulling off yet another stunt in the NYC at the site of Lincoln Square during early May 2006.

David Blaine, the modern-day Houdini...

He will swim out on Monday night, then be chained and dunked back into the tank. Then he will try to escape while holding his breath...

NOTE: The world record is 8 minutes and 58 seconds.

David Blaine managed some smiles while upside down and signed posters that were being sold nearby of himself. Hey, this is NYC and everyone`s out for a buck!

"No, no, no David Blaine!" =)

David Blaine is raising money for American Red Cross and Haiti by doing a magic marathon in Times Square. I didn't see David Blaine though, but this guy was nice enough to pose for me when he saw me taking pictures.

You don't have to be in NYC to help. You can go to his website to donate as well.

Nasey attempt a stunt of David Blaine.Lifting his body trying to fly... it works... LOL

Levitation style tricks are one of the most impressive types of magic that can be performed. It seems that the illusion of a person or object being able to defy gravity, never ceases to amaze people.

Levitation (lev’i tay shun): to rise or cause to rise in the air, esp. In apparent defiance of gravity. Levitation is a phenomenon of psychokinesis (PK) in which objects, people, and animals are lifted into the air without any visibly physical means and float or fly about. The phenomenon has been said to have occurred in mediumship, shamanism, trances, mystical rapture, and demonic possession. Some cases of levitation appear to be spontaneous, while spiritual or magical adepts are said to be able to control it consciously.

There seems to be several general characteristics about levitation. The duration of the phenomenon may last from a few minutes to hours. Generally it requires a great amount of concentration or being in a state of trance.

The guy in the bubble is David Blaine, the so called "Illutionist". He makes a living doing one absurd stunt after another. This time he's spending a week in a water bubble in the Lincoln Centre plaza in NY. Not a bad gig considering he's getting a few million bucks for this.

David Blaine outside Lincoln Center. Seemed appropriate to make this one look unreal (just in case you've read what I wrote in the last photo). Still new to HDR, so forgive me if I overdo it for a while.

i'm having fun with the bubbles, what can i say?

During my lunch hour today, I took a subway uptown to lend support to a good friend of my brother who had gotten into a bit of a predicament: He’d somehow gotten himself stuck in a rather large fishbowl in the middle of the plaza of Lincoln Center. When I got there, there was a line a mile long waiting to see David Blaine up close, so I figured I’d stay around the periphery and take some photos. As I was doing so, I realized to my surprised that a news crew behind me was interviewing a couple of coworkers from the technology magazine I work for; they had brought an iPod in an underwater casing that the magazine was testing; although immersed in a large vase full of water, the iPod was still merrily playing Weezer. A minute later, we were approached by a rep for David Blaine, who much to my surprise, quickly ushered us up to the tank, where my coworkers showed David the underwater iPod while I took pictures. I held up a sign for David telling him who my brother was, for I had never met David before (if you could call this a meeting).

I’m very relieved that he made it through his latest stunt apparently with no serious harm. The man is an enigma, seemingly out of his mind in the risks he’s willing to take, yet extremely focused and prepared. A stunt man, exhibitionist, daredevil, a modern-day Houdini. Love him or hate him, the world is a more colorful place for his being in it—and may he be in it for a long time to come.

Internationally renowned performance artist David Blaine lived underwater in a glass bubble, 24/7, for a week at Lincoln Center in Manhattan. He called his stunt "Drowned Alive." Here, we are looking at him from right next to the surface of the bubble.
