Another from my visit to Hill head a few weeks ago.
Ok, getting really frustrated with this banding situation where dark meets light! A Flickr contact suggested that it mite be the quality settings in LR or PS but they are set to maximum!
Anyone got any ideas?
Straight from the camera, this was when a heavy mist descended blocking out the sun as it came over.

Dark meets light. A shot from one of the graveyards around Edinburgh, a streak of light breaks through the heavy ivy and shines down upon the past. Bit of my mood these days.

by light.
To see the one, we need
the other
it cuts both ways
light on light is blind
dark on dark is blind
light through dark is not
dark through light is movement
dark through light becomes,
is becoming,
to move through
light is becoming,
is all
we can know.

For those that like the drama of a dark dark cloudy, almost scary had bad breams when I was a kid, look :) Oh Yeah and for those of you that don't get the title, this gas station's logo was a cute little green Dino, so in honor of the dino sinclair, well you get it....The title. :) I spent three hours on this one, the one below I only spend 15 mins on, I would be curious to know which one people like best :)
It's been a year of self portraits, self discovery, creating and recreating that I sometimes forget the simplicity of just taking a photo without having a concept in mind. I miss that simplicity and yet I sometimes feel it lacks something when I'm not creating an idea. This scene I couldn't pass by yesterday...the detail of the snowy ice on limbs in contrast to the painterly like sky was overwhelmingly beautiful. Photos never seem to do what we see visually, justice...mostly i think because a photo only allows one of our senses into play. A moment of beauty needs to not only be seen but truly experienced by all our senses. To be able to document such a moment, however is such a wonderful gift...to look back and recall those moments in such clarity in its entirety is an amazing thing.
