Miếng ngày ai đậy mà lu quá

Chiều rơi từng vệt tím âm âm

"I tried to see

To believe

But there was only greed, only greed

Dance with me on the white coal

Run with me through the flames

The bars of the cage

Will bend, but will remain

But there is always pain, there is always pain"

IAMX - Dance With Me

I'm calling this photo of my favourite beach Dance with me, as a tribute to Robert Fisher of Willard Grant Conspiracy, who died yesterday. I love his wonderful voice, and this particularly beautiful track, sums up my evenings dancing between the waves as the sun goes down. Beautiful memories of a great singer, who sadly I never saw live.

the way she danced moved my heart

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.

Designed and built in 1929. The ballroom was a major venue for bands of the 1930s and 1940s. Built in an Art Deco styling with an Aztec theme. At 5600 sq feet, it was meant to hold around a 1000 couples. The maple dance floor was built on springs to give the dancers a bounce as they moved.

After closing around 1958, it reopened in the mid 60s as a concert venue. With shows a couple times a week, bands such as the MC5; The Stooges; and Ted Nugent and The Amboy Dukes played here. Soon the doors closed again.

Also more recently featured in a the Eminem movie, "8 Mile".

It now sits empty, neglected and dilapidated like many other historic locations in Detroit.

A very cold, damp day - and the dance learning continues.

My Spirit portrayed in this photo...Dancing in colorful bokeh!

The other day I took a walk with PENny...we came upon this leaf hanging from a tall oak tree & it was spinning & fluttering. Now..not to give "myself a pat on the back" or anything..well maybe just a little bit..lol..BUT..this was taken at 1.2 aperture on the manual focus lens....I feel proud that I "got" it. :-)

Have a great weekend...

'Het Speulderbos' is called ' the forest of the dancing trees'. The forest is not just mysterious, it is also very rare. It's a paradise for birds (of prey), deer, badgers and wild boars. So there is enough choice to have a good time!

Another from Dancing Ledge, with a muted sunrise and therefore less contrast than my earlier post. I think I prefer this one, with the incoming wave filling the pool to give this marvellous effect with all the light and energy of the surf at the centre.
