Another daisy in the garden - loving the sudden burst of colour even though it's mid Winter... The flowers must think it's Spring!!!
I've loved the spoon shaped petals of this South African Daisy for ages, and photographed them several times. I've tried it with various backgrounds.

The daisy is known for its simplicity and purity. Our grocery store had them displayed for $1.00 a piece and I can tell you it wasn't simple trying to select just five colors. I wanted all of them. But I held my purchases to five and took a couple hundred pictures of them. The vase is Roseville Pottery and one of my favorite pieces.

Mmm.....the title is a bit misleading, I think......I don't have my birthday in January.....:-)
When I was young, we called daisies with red leaves 'birthday-daisies'....
Eh, my birthday is in July :-)
