I don't know why, but it reminds me of one of those graphs of how the economy is going. Actually an early morning reflection of a hibiscus (?) in a cobweb
The British £2 coin. There's one in my change purse, a little piece of England that I carry around with me. In the image, it's balanced on a £1 coin. I haven't checked the exchange rates, I'll leave that up to you. Those are £10 pound notes underneath.

My friend, mentor & inspirational husband/father figure Cole Jordan gave me this cowry shell last year at my graduation. As he handed it to me, he said good luck with a big smile & hug.
I stuck the shell in my pocket and cherished it ever since.

Following a branch of Sufism, Maata Moulana is aimed to be a Muslim utopia, the perfect Muslim society. No alcohol or tobacco is allowed, there are no TVs at home, and it is up to local leaders to resolve conflicts between the inhabitants. They haven't banned smart phones yet, and after the dinner many heads would bathe in the sharp glow of their samsungs and nokias and iPhones.
Unlike virtually any city or town I have seen in the Middle East or Africa (with the exception of Monastir, Tel Aviv, and some parts of Jerusalem), this one is fairly clean.
In the photo, what is used, alongside money, as currency in the town - these are fish teeth.

Another in my currency theme series. Thanks again to Shapeshift for allowing me to use one of his striking images as my background! Spent hours messing around in photoshop trying to get this just right, but in the end I just wanted to call it finished and move on to a new project....if nothing else I just love the colours in this one.
