A re-issue of an old photo. I changed the aspect ratio and did some color and noise work. This is a cruise ship docked at Ogden Pointe in Victoria, BC.
This is blended from five exposures. You can see that toward the center right where the same bird is seen five times and at the top where the same bird is seen three times before flying out of frame.

This is a reworking of an earlier shot. One of my favourites of the Pelicans. The light was amazing.
© Sunset in Rocas de Santo Domingo (not the Caribbean city by the way, but a small Chilean village next to the sea). May 2009.
*Those are the natural colours... Zoom to the horizon and that's what I got! Post process was just a bit of contrast adjust.
Azura ,Condor Rapide & Caribbean Princess. One of the hardest shots today trying to get the two ships together with the right light.
Taken at the last Cruise Night of 2011, this magnificent old Classic certainly added some Class to the occasion!
What is it? 'Fraid I don't know! Bit before my time! If anyone can help please let us know!
UPDATE: Google reveals it is a 1931 Cadillac !

Its that time of year again for the cruise ships to roll into BC waters. I got lucky with this shot as the ship was actually delayed departing as I wanted a blue hour shot! 7 shot HDR.
While visiting Ho Chi Minh, my wife talked me into going on a nice river boat cruise. There was live music, singing, dancing and a 3 course meal. Happy I went... happier I brought my camera and snapped this awesome photo! Follow Me Here.

Cruise ship on the horizon. Taken from the ~ Bolsa Chica Wetland trail at sunset first night of 2015. Little Pocket inlet in the fore ground and Catalina Island on horizon left.
Cruising the Antarctic Peninsula aboard the National Geographic Explorer. Sweeping through the ice fields in the waning light. Not the featureless white mass of ice we remember from grade school geography.
Called the ‘Peninsula’ – Atlantic is on the left, Caribbean on the right. The sister island of Nevis is in the distance on the far right. Pure beauty.
A swan cruising in the shadows of the island in Bushy Park pond.
Try it in the light box if you have the time.
Just like a queue of giant cruise ships driving away from a floating city and with a beautiful sunset.
Also the sky is exceptionally clean.

I took this photo at a cruising in Tranås, Sweden this summer. I tried to get a good leading line with the cars so I had to stand closer to the cars so I took a step out from the sidewalk onto the street. I also tried to time the photo so the light would hit the closest car and the person's face since I didn't want the photo to be just about the cars.
I edited the photo in Lightroom. Since the photo was very good out of the camera I didn't need to do any heavy editing.
The photo is taken with a Nikon D5100 and Tamron 70-300mm SP VC @ 70mm (I think).
