Op 20 september 2019 werd Zwitserland gedag gezwaaid en vertrokken in de ochtend naar de volgende bestemming in Duitsland. Na 4 uur rijden kwamen aan in Retzbach-Zellingen in het Maintal. Direct nadat de zon was doorgedraaid passeerde gelijk een interessante trein.

 

DB heeft bij het Chinese CRRC 4 (met een optie voor 16) hybride rangeerlocs besteld voor DB Regio S-Bahn Hamburg. Het is voor DB de eerste order bij de grootste fabrikant van spoorwegmaterieel in de wereld. De eerste loc werd bij Innotrans in september 2018 gepresenteerd. Op 12 december 2018 arriveerde per boot in Hamburg de tweede loc voor testritten in Duitsland. De 1004 002 word sinds de zomer ingezet voor testritten in heel Duitsland.

In der letzten Woche weilte DB Systemtechnik mal wieder für Versuchsfahrten an der Saar, diesmal mit der 1004 501 von CRRC für die S-Bahn Berlin. Am Donnerstag ging es morgens weiter ins nächste Testgebiet - der Geislinger Steige. Ich erwartete die Fuhre in Saarburg an der alten Güterrampe.

Moderne Eisenbahn in Mazedonien ... zumindest ein bisschen. Die Chineische CRRC hat eine Ausschreibung der Mazedonischen Eisenbahn gewonnen und konnte 4 Dieseltriebwagen (711) und zwei Elektrotriebwagen (411) in den kleinen Balkanstaat liefern. Auch wenn es komisch anmutet hat damit CRRC einen Fuss in der Türe im Europäischen Markt.

 

Hier ist ein 711er auf dem Nachmittagszug von Skopje nach Bitola unterwegs. Fotografiert kurz hinter Čaška.

MZ 443-002 here in station Iskar (Bulgaria) wih freight train 44152 is wait for locomotive of BDZ Cargo to pull them to Dimitrovgrad Serbia. Macedonian railways is have tender for 4 locomotives from CRRC. Thender is cost 8 milion euro.

Locomotive is with maximum speed 120km/h, his weight is 90tons and its look brutal nice!

This is the first of 4 electroc locomotives that Chinese CRRC is delivering to Macedonian Railways Transport. 43 528 is seen passing on the right - this was the loco that drove the train from Plovdiv to Iskar in Sofia.

120 134-2 mit Messwagen und 1004 501 in Wuppertal auf der Fahrt von Minden ins Saarland

I took this photo in 2011 on a railway line north of Beijing. It shows the change of the 3-man locomotive crew of a long empty coal train. As far as I could see, the team consists of a chief locomotive driver, his assistant and a technical assistant. The locomotive is a huge 8600 hp 8-axle SS4. The technical equipment as well as the perfect condition of the machine impressed me! Also note the highly modern track system.

CRRC's hot-off-the-assembly-line prototype cars 7006 and 7005 are seen undergoing tests before they can be shipped off to the CTA. Meanwhile, NS GP33ECO 4700 shuffles autoracks on the former Nickel Plate. Interesting stuff can be found in this area if you know where to look.

Sinds 30 december 2017 is de Xijiao-lijn in Beijing in gebruik, bijna negen kilometer lang met zes haltes. Voor de lijn leverde CRRC Dalian Sirio-trams. Eén daarvan, de XJ022, is op weg van Bagou naar Fragant Hills en stopt aan de halte Chapeng. Het is een arbeidsintensieve handel, de korte tramlijn: vijf man personeel op de halte, drie man in de tram zelf en elke gelijkvloerse kruising wordt door twee man met linten bewaakt; 22 juli 2019.

On December 21st, 2019, CTA's pair of Holiday Trains- "Santa's Express" and the "Elves' Workshop", follow each other closely, running southbound on the Red Line at Granville. It's a little ironic that the equipment used for these special runs- Budd 2600-series cars- were once totally ubiquitous on the Red Line, their duties for the last several years being taken over by Bombardier 5000s, and before long to be supplemented by the new CRRC 7000-series cars.

Going up in the world: 10 Electric double decker buses built by Kiwi bus builder with CRRC electrical equipment will enter service in Wellington from 15 July.They will be operated by Tranzurban who will take over some Metlink routes in Wellington from 15 July.

...sind die Triebwagen der mazedonischen Staatsbahn, die als Ersatz für die trägen, 2x290 PS starken MAN/MACOSA-Triebwagen aus den 1980ern beschafft wurden. Die ebenfalls dreiteiligen Einheiten der CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive Co. finden ihr Einsatzgebiet vor allem auf der Relation Skopje - Bitola. Das Exemplar 711 002 hat seine Fahrt über die Pelagonija-Hochebene gleich hinter sich und erreicht in ein paar Kurven den Endbahnhof Bitola.

Noch Zukunftsmusik ist eine Weiterführung der Züge ins nahe Griechenland (Kremenica). Die seit 1991 stillgelegte Strecke wird seit Januar 2018 mit EU-Mitteln wieder befahrbar gemacht und soll Ende 2018 fertiggestellt werden. Danach wird sich zeigen, inwiefern hier Verkehrsbedürfnis besteht - reichen im Grenzübergang Idomeni/Gevgelia doch schon null bis ein Zug pro Tag und Richtung für die Nachfrage dicke aus.

On their first solo shift, a recently graduated Driver arrives at Campsie with Waratah B19 as Run 2--N to Liverpool via Bankstown

Oh the irony. A former Wellington trolleybus converted to a battery electric bus.

This bus was originally assumed to be a Hybrid bus converted by wrightspeed. In is in fact a full electric bus with equipment from CRRC.

The bus was built as trolleybus 362.

Hauled by SSR Diesel Locomotive 8049 as Train 1141, Waratah B2 pauses at Blacktown prior to Dynamic Testing between St Marys and Blacktown.
