Last Summer I found some great deals at our neighborhood drugstore on grape plants and raspberry plants.. they were so dried out that i wasn't sure if they would make it, but they were marked down to like a dollar and i figured I wouldn't lose much to try... and i think i did lose one or two of the plants... but 2 or 3 of the raspberries made it.. Same for the Grapes and i also bought a currant plant that survived! so here is a macro of a beautiful raspberry leaf.. If all goes well i should have enough raspberries to make some jam! there are lots of buds! Anyway, i love getting practically dead stuff for a bargain and then having them thrive! Happy Week Y'all!

The creases in the far hillside are accentuated with the dusting of snow, the autumn brush highlights the ridge lines and the dead trees define the waters edge of this cove of the massive lake.

Thanks for looking,

This is a small, dried, crinkled orchid flower, about 1 1/2 inches long. Even after they've died and dropped off I think that the flowers are beautiful in a delicate, fragile way. This one had only recently fallen off the plant, just in time for this theme.

Something of the 'folding' type and yes, it actually flies :-))

The theme for this weeks Macro Monday is "Crinkled, Wrinkled, Folded or Creased" .

For Macro Mondays, theme crinkled, wrinkled, folded, or creased. This is a folded taco sized flour tortilla. For those not in North America, Mexican tortillas are wheat or corn based round flatbreads, very different from Spanish tortillas.

My work is becoming more personal than I ever thought it would be.

I chose origami cranes for this weeks theme which I made myself and I think contain all the elements of crinkles, wrinkles, folds and creases.

During a recent visit to Hiroshima in Japan, we were very moved by the true story of Sadako Sasaki, a child who survived the atomic bomb, but was later diagnosed with leukaemia. She was inspired by Japanese legend to make 1000 paper cranes so she would be granted her wish to live.

Unfortunately her wish did not come true, but her story has inspired many, and I will always think of these cranes now, as a symbol of peace.

When you fold with vellum, the creases becomes white lines. The vellum gets actually damaged and the risk it might tear is very big, so it is necessary to fold with great care.

HMM for everyone ;-)

For Macro Mondays, theme crinkled, wrinkled, folded, or creased. This is some fabric with a strong crosslight.
