In the Yorkshire Dales.

They were right up next to the little road i was driving along (as some relief from hours of motorway driving). They had also nicely aranged themselvws!

I tried an HDR version to get some cloud structure, but cows become a bit too unreal. So I settled for this nearly SOOC version

happy accident :]

(sorry, the flies are nasty. too bad I'm too lazy to photoshop them out. this is reality photography....)

This is Edna, one of the small herd of Scottish Highland cattle recently introduced to the Langness peninsular on the Isle of Man.

I kept my distance as we were walking the dog and this is a hefty crop of just the central portion of the original image, so I am pleased with the details captured. The Fujinon XF 1.4X WR teleconverter was also in use.

The only thing i was thinking about when i took this shot was that if the cow got any closer then she might aswell of been taking the photo.
