Penelope cow just wants to have a conversation with Morgan Moody who gives her that look implying.....
Not in the moo-mood right now.
Penelope will just move through the herd and leave him be for now as sometimes even cows and young bulls are not in the mood for pasture chatter.
Cows are quite fascinating really. Most have silly hairstyles like this one and very wet shiny snotty noses that they lick........
looking back, I find it hard to believe I spent half an hour in that cow field and didn't get any udder pictures............

I saw these two while I was cycling across Greenham Common on my way to Newbury. They were quite happy to pose while I snapped away. On my way back there was someone with a 4x4 feeding Cowslip, so I asked them about the cow and calf. The little chap on the left is 2 weeks old. He's had a difficult first 2 weeks of life. His owners didn't realise that Cowslip was in calf, but on a bitterly cold day 2 weeks ago they went to check up on her, and there was the new calf. He doesn't have a name ("We don't give boys names"). Even though this was her first calf, and despite the difficult weather, Cowslip has been a perfect mother and knows exactly what to do. She looks very thin and bony, but is getting extra feed every day.
Out walking today I happen to come across some cows and instantly thought of one of my contacts - Miss Tiggywinkle. She had taken a rather nice cow portrait see here www.flickr.com/photos/62267983@N06/8061162360/in/contacts/
