and he doesn't like wearing a mask...but he does because he knows it may save someone's life.

Most of you know me as a landscape photographer, with a goal of showing the beauty of the area which I live in. But today, I want to deviate a little bit into a form of street photography, with a touch of landscape. Yesterday I posted a photograph of the beach at Belle River, Ontario on the shores of Lake St. Clair. I was intrigued by a party that was happening with a group of young people, so I decided to zoom in on this gathering during a time of a global pandemic. At first my attempts were to increase my ISO so that I could use a faster shutter speed. But then I decided to put my camera on the tripod and reduce my ISO. I knew the result would be lovely sharp landscape detail, but the party people would be blurred. I really liked the ghost effect that resulted, giving the photograph an eerie sense of an unseen visiter. You might say a little bit of editorializing on my part, but to me street photography is about story telling.

I love the blowing feathers.

Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.

Colourful Graffiti on boarded-up storefronts (which I have named) in downtown Vancouver during the 2020 Pandemic

Graffiti is writing or drawings made on a wall or other surface, usually as a form of artistic expression, without permission and within public view. Wikipedia

It wasn't until I got home I realised this was a bull standing about 12-15ft from me. Seems it was a friendly one :)

Photo taken at the time of the lockdown. This place is located on the left bank of the Arno river, opposite the Cascine park. It is usually frequented by many people walking, doing physical activity or grandparents walking their grandchildren. I wanted to photograph it deserted to document the effects of the long lockdown, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Fortunately, we are slowly returning to normal.

I think everyone is getting a little fed up of the lockdown at the moment. Hope everyone is staying safe.

....mi hijo está viendo la luz y (yo tambien).....Ya le han dado el alta!!

Gracias amigos. Un beso grande

When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed.

But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the shed, the boat,

making beer.. Always something more important to me.

Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point.

When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing

scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into

the house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again

I handed her a toothbrush.

I said, "When you finish cutting the

grass, you might as well sweep the driveway."

The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.

Stay safe and have a great week.

Waves during evening light. Normally Tywyn would be full of tourists this time of year but with Covid-19, just us locals.

in this time of great uncertainty, we must all be prepared for what may come. I am trying to do my part. A friend graciously sewed the mask for me.

We are into our 15th week of being isolated and observing social distancing and the well used term 'stay home'

We have been concerned that we have become so isolated, that facing the world and seeing that there is a lovely world out there, a world that we are hesitant to embrace again.

An opportunity arose for us to go for a little adventure around our local lake today, and finding a 'gap' in the crowds, we ventured for a half hours wheel walk. Only ourselves were wearing a face covering and it demonstrates the importance to ensure we do that bit more to protect ourselves.

You cant see it here, but the warmth of the sun on his face, the sound of the water on the rocks and stones on the bank and the light breeze in the air, did bring a smile. 'Do we have to go back?' he asked as we opted t leave the ever increasing numbers.

It's been a long time since we saw 'Dippy' but another mini adventure was successfully and safely achieved.

The emptiness looks creepy, but also rises hope that the beast will be defeated soon.

Hold on my friends.
