A couple of dragonflies in flight - shot in dull weather at ISO 640 & 800 respectively, hence a bit grainy/noisy.
Thanks for all your faves and comments everyone!
I really appreciate them!
Driver Mike Beegle roars through a straight section of the course at the River Roar power boat races last weekend in Bay City, Michigan. These boats can reach speeds well in excess of 100 miles per hour.
And yes, this is my Fence Friday submission this week. The two parallel black lines above the boat are the rails of the fence separating the fans in the bleachers from the action on the water.

I had asked Dale, nicely of course, if he could edit one of my Zebra 3 shots. I wanted something spectacular because I have to unfortunately sell it :(
This car means the world to me, and I wanted a great photo that would remind me how freakin awesome it was! Well the picture above is 100% what I had asked of Dale. I don't know how he did it, but I'm speechless.
If you think this picture is amazing, then you haven't seen Dale's photostream yet.
Don't forget to like my Facebook page :)

Things have been a bit crazy around here in the past few weeks, and I haven't had any time for photography or Flickr. I'm feeling fully inspired though... both to go out shooting again... and to catch up on all my contacts' photostreams!
I captured the two images that make up this Vertorama shortly after sunset yesterday... somewhere along Race Course Way... heading out of Durbanville in an Easterly direction.
Nikon D300, Sigma 18-200mm at 44mm, aperture of f22, with a 4 second exposure.

I am obviously still catching up with the season.

i hate all these stupid lectures my stupid parents always give me. at least 3 times a day, about stuff like college and grades and ohmygod i get it okay so stfu and gtfo i'm 14 for heaven's sake.
on a brighter note, today i did the zipline in gym class! i swear, that weightless feeling of freefall when you jump off that platform is so scary yet amazing at the same time.
and while i was taking this picture, i met a really nice guy with a camera too and we talked about photography and his recent trip to france.
166 I love rollercoasters and heights and that feeling in your stomach like your heart is catching in your throat and you're on the brink of uncontrollable fright and exhilaration.
OK... Now THIS is what I really wanted to upload before I came across that shot I uploaded a few minutes ago... HEHE
This is another shot of my friend's WRX... HDR of course...
