21 AUG. Took a short drive out to the country to get out of apartment and for some fresh air. As soon as I started taking photos the fog and haze rolled in.
I know you see me
Like some wide eyed dreamer
That just rolled in off a dusty mid west bus
Yeah, on the outside I look fragile
But on the inside is something you can’t crush
I have weathered
Colder winters; Longer summers
Without a drop of rain
Push me in a corner
And I’ll come out fighting
I may lose but I ‘ll always keep my faith
I’m country strong
Hard to break
Like the ground I grew up on
You may fool me
And I’ll fall
But I won’t stay down long
I’m country strong

Spotted this springtime country scene here in western Illinois on my way home from work... so I grabbed the camera and drove back to take the shot. It had been raining heavily (with golf-ball sized hail the day before) and so I took advantage of the break in the weather. This barn is about a minute drive from the ranch where we are living.

AMEN CORNER: The sky to the north was dark...but, southern sunlight lit up the face of a small country church on SR 277 between Vernon and Chipley, Florida. Two holly wreaths decorated the front doors for Christmas

Open range ranching in the back country of the high Nevada desert. Good thing I saw them from a long ways off and was able to slow down.... they were in no hurry to get out of the way.....

Just got back from an overnighter trip to country NSW with my Flickr buddy Don.
It was great to get back into the groove again and have my photography Modjo back again I have really missed it.
This was taken about 20 mins away from the little Chapel @ Gostwyck.
Margam Country Park is a country park estate in Wales, of around 850 acres (3.4 km²). It is situated in Margam, about 2 miles (3 km) from Port Talbot in south Wales. It was once owned by the Mansel Talbot family and is now owned and administered by the local council, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council. Situated within the park are three notable buildings: Margam Abbey, a Cistercian monastery; Margam Castle, a neo-Gothic country house that was once the seat of the Mansel Talbot family; and the 18th-century Orangery.
God's own country, Kerala is urging you to get back to nature.

One of the things I like the most about where I live is that the beach is just 2 minutes away, along with lots of fabulous restaurants, stores and great places to hang out. But, if you want to get away from the hustle-bustle of the beach, it's a quick and easy drive into the countryside.
This was taken yesterday, about a 10 minute drive from my house, right next to a horse stable and paddock. Happy Fence Friday! :-)

For someone who grew up in the country I never really appreciated nature until I started looking at it through a viewfinder.
This is a 9 exposure HDR processed in Photomatix, then taken into photoshop for final processing. When creating the HDR I will try and create a base photo that contains all the detail that I need but still as natural looking as possible, then use photoshop to add contrast back into the photo with adjustment layers.

34067 Tangmere is seen passing Burnham footcrossing with a railtour from Three Bridges to Bristol Temple Meads on the morning of 6th December 2014. The first time i have seen the loco in a while and despite all her recent bad press she seemed to be working very well this morning. Processed this with the white balance in the 'cloudy' setting to help bring the image to live, but she was certainly putting on a fine display :)
As ever if you like what you see hit that favourute button, got any feedback on the image pop it in a comment and i will do my best to get back to you
