Tuscany landscape taken from Pienza city wall
thank you Bev for the poem....
it was a long way to travel back home
over hills and countryside when all alone
and when at last the end was in sight
he sat down and pondered had he done right !
although far away he could hear her call
in his ears he would hear her for everymore
why have you left me here all forlorn
will I see you again ~ come before dawn
I'll take you back ~ you know that its true
because I love you ~ I'll always pursue
to the end of time ~ and then from beyond
be sure I will haunt you ~ for every second ............!
120 years old and never locked- there is a sign on the door asking people to make sure they close the doors when they leave (keeps the wildlife from taking up residence).

During our recent holiday to Victoria we stayed with some friends in Kyabram, a small country town. They took us out to show us their new home that is being built and as we were about to leave the sun started setting. I couldn't believe how fast it went down below the horizon. How wonderful it will be for them to watch this every night.

I had to zoom while "driving" ...lol
Well, I know what I said. That I'm not going to add any more pics of this old church until the crops are out of the fields -- but it's already shot, and I like it, so why not?

Marco Polo described Japan as the Country of Gold in his book, _The Travels of Marco Polo_. Lake Kasumigaura turned into Gold for a minute right after the sun went down on this day.

This morning I decided to get up early to shoot a sunrise. NOT an easy task for me, but nonetheless, it was a very nice experience!
Big hugs!
