This is a tiny inlet just down the coast from Riverton at the bottom of NZ's South Island. Of all the places we visited while we were down there this was my favourite.
The small cove shelters just those few tiny houses that you see there and a couple of fishing boats. There was once a Maori village in the area and on a small island just off shore there was a defended Maori pa.

Candlelight always makes a room look cosy to me.

Meanwhile, enjoy the summer heat. I have received a few suggestions on how ... but for me, I am heading north to Beijing for a cool 18 to 20 degree C!

I loved my original shot of Oscar but Bev didn't like the blanket edges showing! So I've tucked him in and warmed him up as I prefer these tones to the monochrome! This version dipped its toes at #425 on Explore.
Hun! look what I have found, a beautiful three floor houseon the top of the hill with the roof terrace and great view . It looks it could become our cosy home.

Close to the Turkish military base in the occupied north part of Cyprus, it was forbidden to make photos over there. Well, if they caught me I would say it was for the Flickr, I'm sure they would understand :)
