Cooler Tones on this one.....but I liked how the sky matched the color of the little flowers.... This was taken about 8 minutes before the other shot.....amazing how the sky and colors change so fast!

shot this at an abandonned cooling tower, witch recently was the scene of the recording of a belgian movie called "de premier"
if i'm in the neighbourhood again i'll think i'll revisit, very impressive to experience this site
Kilgore Falls - part of Rocks State Park, Maryland; a cool respite on a hot day although not always as quiet and serene as this.
On a hot weekend the pool at the base of the falls can be filled with people of all ages enjoying the fresh, cold water.
I thought I would upload this very cool flower for my friends ... especially the ones that love flowers :D I have tons of images in my archives and I just never get to them.

The swollen river Soar at Zouch gave great friend Geoff Teeling and I a chance for big reflections along the walk between Zouch and Normanton on Soar... The various bushes and trees either side of this popular cottage make for excellent mirror images on calm mornings and Saturday was as still as it could be....
Not a single sighting of the sun or any colour for that matter, but an enjoyable Dawn walk nevertheless.
This Red-winged Parrot cooled off under a sprinkler at Pine Creek. It's been that kind of weather here too.
Will be away for a couple of weeks.

Two images of Over Owler Tor taken a in different conditions. The warm-toned image was taken just after sunset on a fine day and the cool-toned image was taken at sunset on a cloudy day. Both images were taken from Higger Tor but, as can be seen from the different position of elements on the horizon, from slightly different places.

this is one really huge coolingtower.
i thought only a fish could capture the inside...but at this size the wideangle works aswell.
i just love my D800.
A slightly different composition of my Moraine Lake shot, touched up from a RAW shot in HDR. I brought out more tonal range but tried to keep the HDR to a minimum

As the radiation from the last of the plasma experiments intensified the concrete of the cooling tower began to fluoresce and vaporize into the sky signaling the imminent collapse of the structure and that it was well past the safe time to leave. As we sped away we passed a strangely clad figure loading a chunk of the glowing concrete into the trunk of a '64Chevy Malibu, which was the beginning of another story that would strangely later come back to haunt me.
