City Perception Series (5/5)

View On Black, or View my most interesting stream ON BLACK!

I've been living in big cities ever since I was a little girl. For sure every city has its unique look, but I experience similar crowds, sounds, colors, and space in cities like Taipei, Hong Kong, and Vancouver. Compared to Taipei where I grow up, Vancouver is quite unique in a way that I can reach beaches or forests within 10-minute driving from the city center. It provides a great diversity of life styles for people living in such a beautiful city. Indeed city life in the concrete jungle is not much different in various cities. However, in Vancouver, I see people jogging and biking around the seawall at dawn while people spotted a lady pondering over with or without her camera gears the same time. To me, that's the beauty of living in Vancouver!

The Series is done in the past few days for my class assignment (yes once again...). I feel I can elaborate on the Series with more details! Your comments are more than welcome as usual! :-)

Im getting down to posting my last shots from the ESB. I have a bunch more but Id rather hold on to those than post everything. I enjoyed processing these into HDR's, ive been waiting a long time to visit ESB again, so its been planed out and on my mind for a while. I enjoyed my day visit but I want to go back at night as soon as I can get my hands on a tripod tall enough to shoot over the wall at the ESB.

This is a quick post and run, Ive decided to take the train out to Yankee Stadium so I can pay my respects to Mr. Steinbrenner. I'll be back later to check out your work and to comment. Have a great day friends :-)

and on it goes... The view from Twin Peaks takes in basically the entire San Francisco area. From the Pacific coast right around to the bay, and it's such a beautiful sight.

The Trans America Tower with the spire can be seen in the distance, and in the foreground the beautifully unique architecture of the San Francisco neighborhoods. It's all crammed in together and it makes for a truly unique City.

What a great venue it would be for some night time photography...!

This is the photograph that made me miss my flight home. I was cutting it real close, but Grand Central Station was a place I've seen in so many great photographs. I decided to go and check this place out realising that there was a very good chance I'd miss the flight from New York to Sydney, but I did it anyway. To be honest, the time I had in New York was so good that I really didn't care. I ended up missing my flight (accidentally on purpose) and scored me a free night in New York City. Best decision of the whole trip.

Thank you for looking

My hand was slightly unsteady but still wanted to share. Thanks for looking

The term concrete jungle is often used to refer to a city, or an area of a city, with many tower blocks or tenement flats made of brick and concrete.

In the UK the term is sometimes associated with crime and a way of life that is indigenous to inner city living.

Note: New York City looking north. Central Park and the Hudson River are seen in the distance.
