On July 15, last Saturday, I had the pleasure of accompanying the flight of hot air balloons, coloring the sky of the city of Boituva, 62,1371miles from the capital of São Paulo, Brazil.

...both the little finches and the foliage are beginning to show fresh colors. This little male was quite prominent both in plumage and vocalizations. I love to hear those plaintive little calls they make from the canopy or while swaying on the brown seed-heads of last season's golden rod.

I was going to crop this a bit tighter but then decided I liked the wispy green foliage surrounding this male Goldie. Everything is coloring up.
Pretty colors filled the sky briefly on this particular morning. Had to be quick to catch them.

CT Publishing had a challenge: We could download one of their coloring books and color a page and then make something.
The book I chose was Opulant Bazaar.
I made the little box by using a Crayola Crayons box as a pattern.
There are a couple of reasons why the colors are different.
One of them is because I pressed the picture and another is because I took the picture of the page I colored outside in the sunlight and the boxes, with a different camera, here in my "play room".

I have fallen in love with the hardy flowers of the High Plains and the badlands, and I took some seeds home with me. I plan on spending minimal time on watering my balcony this year!

The weather of late here on the east coast of America has been quite warm ... maybe the leaves can bud again, grow, and give us a 2nd Autumn season ... that would be cool. This past Fall was quite pretty here.
