“Take the time to visualize the beautiful rainbows in the storm clouds of life..”

Another image from my muddy jeep adventure
Finally making friends with the D800
a view of my favorite Superstition Mountains
Went out for a really long walk today through the woods and fields. The ground was sodden and really muddy and I had to wade my way through in places, but the sun was shining and the clouds looked fantastic and I had a great time. It took me almost 3 hours to get to this point, but it was well worth it. I got a few decent shots, but this was my favourite. After all the rain and snow, it was nice to see some sunshine!
I hope everyone is well and enjoying their photography :)

Captured this pretty view while driving down the road after leaving Glacier National Park on our ride to Oregon. Saw the lake, the clouds, and there was a little park to pull over. Pretty neat scene with the reflection.
Terrestrial cloud formation is the result of air in any of the lower three principal layers of Earth's atmosphere (collectively known as the homosphere) becoming saturated due to either or both of two processes: cooling of the air and adding water vapor. With sufficient saturation in the troposphere, precipitation will fall to the surface; an exception is virga, which evaporates before reaching the surface. Clouds that form at very high altitudes in the stratosphere and mesosphere do not contain sufficient moisture to generate any outfall of droplets or crystals.
The clouds ruled this moody morning in the Grand Teton National Park. This is what the clouds looked like without the long exposure.

Perranuthnoe beach last weekend. I love the way the receding waves uncover the cloud reflected in the wet sand. Blowing a gale here, but still no snow!
“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
Wanted to shoot the skyline again at night, but it was more of clouds and lightning show after it got dark. I tried to get lightning but couldn't. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Gortmore Panorama, 18 images stitched to make a panoramic image looking from Binevenagh on the left to the end of the Innishowen Peninsula on the right. The hills of Donegal protrude above the clouds in the distance. Cloud covered the whole area of Magilligan below Gortmore - something I believe is called "Cloud Inversion." I have seen images of this before, but this is my 1st capture of it.
I have no idea of the meteorological reasons for it but it was great to see it, even if it was a little strange hearing life go on below and not being able to see it.
I watched this cloud appear from a clear sky at sunrise, to an enormous pillar covering most of west London and spawning 2 rainbows!
Clouds are fluffy, puffy things
That drift across the sky
They fill our eyes with fairy tales
Whenever they pass by
Some look like boats and sailing ships
Sometimes a swan or queen
The sky is full of fantasy
It's nature's movie screen
Come see the many magic scenes
In heaven demonstration
It only takes a glance on high
And your imagination
Dopo cinque giornate di pioggia, il sole è tornato a farsi vedere....
After five rainy days, the sun now is (almost) shining...
Park area there at Seneca Rocks, West Virginia. The clouds to the west were pretty as the sun was setting.
Happy Bench Monday
The huge line of cloud rolled across the blue sky. As it approached the sun I hoped for some sunbeams. As the sun was swallowed up, she sent out the distress signals for about 10 seconds -- and here they are in ultra wide angle.
Those are trees on the horizon. I hope they give a sense of scale.

Dreams are shores where the ocean of spirits meets the land of matter.Dreams are beaches where the yet to-be, the once-were, the will-never-be may walk awhile with the still are. - Cloud Atlas
Have you seen this cloud?
Last seen: this morning in the sky; description: white and puffy.
Thanks for any info!
Another one of those days where the clouds ruined any chance of a colourful end to the day.
