Now for something completely different!! This was take some years ago now late on a foggy night, and that is Louize as I let her walk in front of me, and those street lights look like alien spacecraft in a close encounter. Taken of ilford HP5 400asa b/w print film and scanned into P.S.
Behind the door what does happen?
Behind the door what is hidden?
Until any one's door is closed,
the things there, are not exposed.
Of privacy in life, the right I seek.
My friends want, the right to peep.
I keep my door closed for security
That enhances neighbour's curiosity.
Whatever is there, to make the pep
You cannot put forward the step,
onto the other side of a closed door,
unless you have the lien of yours.
If you want other's doors remain
for you to step into, any time open;
Keep your door open for them,
who needs you and for friends.

"I got to get away man
Got to clear my mind, mind, mind
Out of this mundane, god-forsaken 9-5, wasting my time"

One of my favorite comps there at Ricketts Glen. This was taken with the 10mm getting in very close, and then I panned to get this wider view. Stitch of two captures taken down there in the flow.

I was walking along the river this morning when I found a patch of blackberries. I stopped for a few photos and a snack! Yummy!!

When it's cold and raining,
you are more beautiful.
And the snow brings me
even closer to your lips.
You can close your eyes to the things you don't want to see, but you can't close your heart to the things you don't want to feel.

This photo is the first one of a new series called locked. It will consist of details of doors, according to my style, most of them will be in some kind of decay :-) This door can be found in Vigo, España. But you will have to have a great eye for details to actually find it.....
Closed for Good old store, possible a company store for the local mill, close to falling down now, some great texture still showing, found in North Carolina.

From Wikipedia:
RanWu Lake in the County of Tibet Qamdo Basu, as the largest lake in eastern of Tibet, it is Palongzangbu River (a branch of the Brahmaputra) Headwater one.
The 25 km long lake, the width of 1-5 km, an elevation of 3807 meters, an area of 22 square kilometers. Around the lake at the main post to the ancient mountains and glaciers Gabu group. These lakes are mainly from melting snow on the mountains.
RanWu Lake is due to mountain landslides, mudslides blocked rivers and formed out of the lake west end, into a tributary of the Brahmaputra. As Ran Wuhu from the Sichuan-Tibet Highway is very close, so it's a relatively easy to reach the lake, and thus is a more well-known lakes.

Last October (on a dry day) Mum and I went to Clare Glen, Armagh. There's a beautiful country park there and the paths were fairly accessible. I loved how the trees closed in over our heads creating long tunnels but still letting plenty of light in :)
It's nice being able to go through the archives and find reminders of lovely days out.

Sadness knits two hearts in closer bonds than happiness ever can; and common sufferings are far stronger than common joys.

“There's a sunrise and a sunset every single day, and they're absolutely free. Don't miss so many of them.” ~ Jo Walton
We were hoping for a more spectacular sunset, but unfortunately weather doesn't always cooperate with one's itinerary....even so, I can't think of a better place to close the day than being somewhere in the mountains :-) Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend; our heat finally broke from the triple digits...woohoo....now all we need is some much needed rain. Have a great week, and as always, I appreciate all your visits and especially your comments!!!!
