I came across this photo in my archives and decided to upload it. I still remember this tiny monster - the damselfly - landed on my finger and was willing to pose for me. Unfortunately it was a one-off View large, please.
From my archives. All comments, faves, constructive criticism and suggestions are always welcome. Thank you!
I don't usually like close-ups more than the full picture ....as you usually loose the story .......but this guy's intensity makes up for a close crop as his face tells a story which sometimes gets lost when your in tight . Hope this works for you .....

This jay flew to a bush near me, and before it knew I was there, I was able to snap a few shots close up! So nice of it!

A red winged Blackbird doing some digging up close to my truck---Bombay Hook, DE
This was my third visit to this thistle patch, the first with nice light. I was mainly there for finch, but few showed up. When this beauty started digging into a thistle bloom near me (they literally dig in) I had the perfect 1,000mm rig to get a super close up. This really tight crop was meant to be for demonstration only, showing the pollen all over its body, but it turned out so clear that I decided to make it the focus of my day.
I'll be back to the thistle patch soon, shooting handheld.
I just had some of these delicious strawberries with my cereal this morning. mmmmmmm!
Thank you Jim!
