It took the owner 10 years to restore this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sport Coupe to pristine condition.
Seen in Sonoma County, California.

Just a fun shot today.
I like the classic 55 Chevy, who doesn't. I took this last Sunday while viewing the many hot rods and vintage vehicles that had gathered for cruise night at the local Pony Corral in my city of Winnipeg.

Disfigured, lonely, living life behind a mask. Deeply in love with a younger beauty, he soulfully revs his engine to serenade the love of his life along the winding stretches of Route 66 .
In a scene that could very well be taken from the 1940s, a vintage Chevy is decked out in patriotic spirit at a classic 1850s-era railroad station to celebrate the end of WWII and the homecoming of the troops. This is actually the "Anzio Express & North Platte Canteen" WWII reenactment at the Illinois Railway Museum. At this point, the "Anzio Express" (re-enacting battle scenes from Anzio, Italy) has ended, while the "North Platte Canteen" portion is about to begin.
This event no longer held at IRM, and has instead moved on to the Fox River Trolley Museum in South Elgin. FRTM is a much smaller venue and thanks to some contradictory planning by the City of Elgin, as of April 2018, the future of this event is in doubt.

I liked the first picture of this car that I put on Flickr a few weeks ago, I decided it was worthy of another so here goes. It's a 1956 Chevy Bel Air. Enlarge and view on black to enjoy the most.

When the majority of the US. is in fully winter mode, this scene is truly LA, beach shot with a classic Chevy and a VW Van in background against the blue sky with palm tree!

Vintage Chevy on display at the annual car show in Galesburg, Illinois. I have since forgotten the year and model of this car. I want to say it's a 1947 Deluxe, but I am merely speculating at this point.

Venerable old Chevy heavy-duty truck still doing its job in Parker, AZ. It is still functioning as a AAA tow truck. I imagine that this must be the oldest Triple-A tow truck in the country which still does the job on a daily basis. I couldn't resist such a beautiful old classic truck!

Not all of the cars are new at SEMA. Many of them are restored, or even modified versions of classics. This was a beautiful example of an Impala SS with a custom paint job and chrome work. It's hard to tell, but this vehicle was not ebony black - it had a purple undertone and heavy metallic. The chrome, the wheels, the paint - all of it was first class.
Shot with a Canon 7d and 15-85 hand held in the early morning at SEMA 2010.
