A picture of the Leadenhall Market at Christmas time. I wanted to capture the tree that was inside the market. I did a lot of cropping as at the full size the image looked far to busy and was hurting my eyes as there was too much to look at and the tree got lost. Let me know what you think of the crop.

Also I wanted to thank everyone for there nice comments over the last few weeks and finally i hope you all have a great christmas.

Taken on Christmas Eve. The temperature here was 10C almost record high. Raining, foggy and strong winds on Christmas Eve. It is best time to stay home enjoying the holidays with the family.

Happy Holidays!

I absolutely love Christmas. It's my favorite time of the year. Getting to see the joy in our children when Christmas time rolls around is exciting for me as a parent.

Jessie is getting really jazzed about Christmas this year. She already has a wish list which she keeps telling me about. On her list so far are a digital camera, new shoes, and a "skeletope". The first time she told me she wanted a skeletope (pronounced skel-ah-tope), I was all, "A what???" "A skeletope." "What's a skeletope?" "The thing you can look with one eye and see things far far away." "Ohhhhh....a telescope?" "Yeah...a skeletope" :D It's too cute, I don't bother correcting her anymore.

I also love Christmas because it gives me some leverage as a parent. Jessie behaves a little better around this time of year. She's been really darling lately because she knows that I call Santa every night to give him a status report on her behavior. ;) Last night before bedtime, she was doing something that I told her not to do, so I grabbed the phone and told her, "Okay I'm calling Santa." She immediately stopped and was all, "No! Okay okay." Muhuahahaha...power! ;)

Rab, Croatia. I wish everyone here a very Merry Christmas. It has been a great pleasure following your fantastic work and sharing my pictures with you. Unfortunately, I have been a little lazy during the past weeks. I hope I will be more productive again in 2015.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I thought I'd do something special with typical Christmas colors and strong color contrasts.

There are still milk stains on my camera and tripod (it was quite a mess in my bathroom) and, yes, it did require 80 takes to get one suitable photo.

Merry christmas to you all!

Next to the Christmas Tree there is a sign saying it's with 40 metres the LARGEST CHRISTMAS TREE IN THE WORLD. It's gifted by the Kinnevik Group to Stockholm since 1996 and the classical Christmas Tree on Rockefeller Plaza in New York has served as the role model.

I'm sure this idea isn't new but I wanted to do the requisite Christmas tree bokeh shot today. Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! This photo was taken in the south of Iceland where the long nights together with the northern lights contribute to the Christmas mood...

I wish you all a Merry Christmas, my friends!

First I wanted to post just a "real" Christmas image - what I did. But then I thought that I want to share this also with you, my friends. It was so beautiful this morning - icy cold and frozen and because I am on holidays - I went out with my camera to take some photos. And so it happens again that the lens flare produced a halo - I call it just Christmas Halo

And don't mind it seems that I have my red period - :-))

From my heart to yours...Merry Christmas!

a neighbour down the street put up his christmas lights last weekend. i thought i'd get into the season myself by taking a walk down to his house with my camera.

Got mom's tree up. I thought it looked dreamy. ;)

This is what I see when I walk into the lobby of my new apartment. Merry Christmas!

This is my take on the madness that is Princes Street at Christmas time. It's an idea that has definitely been done before so I am indebted to many photographers who have come before me. This one from Chee Seong is among my personal favorites.

Two vertically oriented photos, shifted at +10 and -10 respectively, easily stitched together to make this 6732 x 5538 image. If it weren't for being able to shoot each lane independently, I might would have frozen to death waiting for just the right timing. Also, I purposefully waited for the intermittent Airlink buses to pass, as they are always lit up purple.

It's finally snowing! Actually, Its more of a blizzard. Oklahoma is in a "state of emergency". We got 14 inches of snow. The wind got up to 65mph! It was a blizzard!

Hope you all have a great Christmas!

Christmas 2014: "Clara's Nutcracker adventure" at Killerton House, Devon.

In Clara's dream the nutcraker comes to life as a handsome Prince who saves Clara from the Rat King when all the soldiers and rats come to life. Here a silhouette decoration of the rats on the top of a tall bookcase is illuminated from behind.

spiral stairs - Taking the stairs to the top of the "Arc de Triomphe" gives you this view at the end. Well worth the effort you put into it. It took me at least 20 minutes to reach the top.

stairway inside the "Arc de Triomphe" in Paris, France.

Located at one end of Paris’s most famous avenue, the Champs Elysees, the triumphal arch is older than the Eiffel Tower, but is somewhat new in the tradition of building arches to celebrate victories. The Romans did it much earlier. In fact, the Arch of Titus had inspired Napoleon to build this 19th-century tribute to his ‘Grande Armee’. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was added in 1921. The ‘eternal flame’ is re-lit every evening at 6:30 pm.

Today it is one of Paris' most famous tourist attractions and millions of visitors climb the long stairway to the top every year. The Arc de Triomphe stands at 51m (167 ft) high and 45m (148 ft) wide. The monument is so large that a daredevil pilot once flew his plane between the arches. The long climb up 284 steps to the top of the Arc de Triomphe is well worth it.

Merry Christmas everyone! :)

This is a remake of last year's shot if this looks familiar haha

I haven't freelensed in a while, so here it is! Anyway, hope you all have a safe and joyful Christmas :)
