As this is my final upload before Christmas, I thought it should be another Christmassy one!
I also thought this was an appropriate time to say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to visit my photostream, and especially to those who have left comments and favs. I have only been on flickr for around 6 months, but nonetheless I really feel blessed to have met so many people who are willing to take some time out of their day for me. I have also been amazed by the friendliness and helpfulness of those who have been kind enough to add me to their contact list!
I wish everyone a Happy Christmas, and for those who don't celebrate it, I wish you happiness!

A picture of the Leadenhall Market at Christmas time. I wanted to capture the tree that was inside the market. I did a lot of cropping as at the full size the image looked far to busy and was hurting my eyes as there was too much to look at and the tree got lost. Let me know what you think of the crop.
Also I wanted to thank everyone for there nice comments over the last few weeks and finally i hope you all have a great christmas.
Two more days....How cool......I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year......
Thanks so much for all of your visits and your friendships too......
Much Love to all of you....xoxo

Dear Santa,
I don't want alot. All I want is that one person who can never leave my mind.
Is he out there waiting for me?!
Taken on Christmas Eve. The temperature here was 10C almost record high. Raining, foggy and strong winds on Christmas Eve. It is best time to stay home enjoying the holidays with the family.
Happy Holidays!
♥ Thank you very much for your visits, faves, and kind comments ♥
Merry Christmas to all!

Poinsettia
The plants' association with Christmas began in 16th century Mexico, where legend tells of a young girl who was too poor to provide a gift for the celebration of Jesus' birthday. The tale goes that the child was inspired by an angel to gather weeds from the roadside and place them in front of the church altar. Crimson "blossoms" sprouted from the weeds and became beautiful poinsettias. From the 17th century, Franciscan monks in Mexico included the plants in their Christmas celebrations.
Across North America, poinsettias are typical Christmas decorations in homes, churches, offices, and elsewhere, available in large numbers from grocery, drug, and hardware stores. In the United States, December 12th is National Poinsettia Day.

Test shot with a new Nikon of one of our Phalaenopsis orchids which bloomed just in time for the holidays.
Candy cane house ornament (see the red and white stitching) and patchwork star. Both are pretty small, just over 3 inches high.
Next to the Christmas Tree there is a sign saying it's with 40 metres the LARGEST CHRISTMAS TREE IN THE WORLD. It's gifted by the Kinnevik Group to Stockholm since 1996 and the classical Christmas Tree on Rockefeller Plaza in New York has served as the role model.
