Just could not have asked for a better sunset........all the color you see here is what I saw with my own eyes when I shot this.....and the long exposure just helped to carry the color all through the sky and water!!!!
Have a great weekend my friends....
I will be hanging out here on Sunday looking and commenting on all your streams.....I know I have been bad at doing that lately!!!!!
Thanks to all of you for the visits, comments and faves over the past year.
I opened the champagne yesterday, the new year had already begun for me, I've got a new house in another town!!
In a couple of weeks I will be less active on Flickr, after that I will show you around in my new hometown!
Spent an amazing day along the Oregon Coast yesterday with Larry Bobshots. We shot from 3:30am untill 5:30pm and although we did not have a single cloud in the sky, I think the simplicity of the Belt of Venus works well here.....
Exposure:30 sec (30)
Focal Length:16 mm
Since starting OOAK and our photography adventures 4 years ago, I'm finding the more time I spend in the wilderness with photographers I now call friends, it's becoming so difficult to exist in the hustle and bustle of the real world, airports, cities and the way everyone has to crawl all over each other to get ahead.
In the mountains with a bunch of awesome people, my camera and creativity you really can't compare. On this night set up in the freezing cold on top of Cradle Mountain, beers and some awesome togs floating around including Jason L. Stephens, Aaron Jones and the OOAK crew, we just let the night take us.
It was minus 21F (-29C) this morning, not including the wind chill factor, so I stayed home and took this photo :)
Best viewed zooming in.
Another of my bristlecone pine night images captured in the White Mountains. This one was captured with a 15mm f/2.8 rectilinear fisheye lens in order to get a more expansive horizontal perspective of the sky.
