'n tie tac toe. . . .

☺ face won this game ;)

I've had this old chalkboard since I was five years old and consider it a toy, as I would play teacher and draw stick people on it, as well as play tic tac toe with my parents.

Thanks a lot for viewing.

......and yes, brownies too!

I painted a chalkboard in the studio today using this recipe. I just finished priming it with chalk and I'll clean it with a barely damp cloth tomorrow.

Close-up view showing an example of asbestos chalkboard material. Essentially ¼" asbestos cement (or "Transite") panel with a hard, colored coating, in this case depicting common flat green.

Image shows chrysotile asbestos fiber bundles protruding from fractured edges of cement material.

Other more common, non-asbestos chalkboard materials may consist of dark grey/black slate or metal-clad gypsum-board.

Hattie constantly grabs shoes and throws them on. She can actually walk in these bitches.

Every inch of my daughter's school is beautiful. 8:36PM

A friendly afternoon of pool at the local pub….we didn’t bother keeping score, but the chalkboard provided inspiration for a photo.

This one frame can tell many stories. Not only can you begin to imagine what has been drawn on the chalkboard, but later the pencils that were sharpened with the sharpener. Laneburg High School was built in the early 1930's and is struggling to remain standing. My father went to school here and I was fortunate to have him with me while I was photographing the school on this day.

Comments welcome.

Location: Laneburg High School, Laneburg, Arkansas.

I did get permission from the land owner to photograph the school.

We're in the middle

At home, we have started a few home improvements and I've been spending some time on Pinterest, as you do, looking for ideas. I kept coming across holiday chalkboards on my journey and it's been a while since I created a chalkboard effect card and so I reached for my white pigment ink and here we are!

Thanks for looking!

I have a 'pending to post' album on my iPad where I move images I have ready to post on Flickr. I kinda have a backlog, so I may post one from time to time.

…da traf ich auf einmal meine alte Bekannte LazySusan wieder. Sie hat versucht, mir ein wenig fraktale Mathematik beizubringen … mehr oder weniger erfolgreich.

…all of a sudden, I met my old buddy LazySusan again. She instantly tried to teach my some fractal math. More ore less successful, I'm not entirely sure if you can call it "understood" :-)

This is a chalkboard that is in our kitchen. The 'family' across the top and days down the side stay the same each week. The activities differ all the time and some weeks we get busy and run out of room. There is always room for family at the top though.
