The gravestone of a great nineteenth century Welsh scholar and lexicographer, Daniel Silvan Evans. His dictionaries are the best composed for Welsh before the recently completed Welsh Academy Dictionary and Geiriadur Prifysgol Cymru.

 

He was a poet and the author of technical books in Welsh.
