Kids aren’t the only one’s that enjoy this part of the drive thru Carwash cycle !! Pretty bubbles and suds all over the windows …. The really young kids are so Wowed !! by it … they truly know how to appreciate the simple things and completely relish in the moment.
An aged and decayed carwash, still functional. Replaces the dirt with water spots.
Taken with a Mint InstantKon RF70 on Fuji Instax Wide film. I have given up metering manually with this camera, no more than half the shots are usable with the built-in meter. There is a version of this camera without manual settings, I would caution against buying one.
If you ever want it to rain, just go wash your car 😃
Many thanks to all who takes the time to view, comment and fave my pictures!
For a change from my recent offerings, this is a new post of a San Diego carwash that I had posted previously.
The San Diego Architectural Foundation-sponsored judges opined that it was one of the worst new addition atrocities in San Diego in 2017. It was described as follows:
“Simply grotesque. An over-the-top, hyped-up nightclub version of a carwash.”
Of course, they neglect to mention that the average carwash is about as interesting and colorful as a Barry Manilow recording.
I posted a BW version of this not long after I took it. Couldn't get the colors right until tonight. While I claim Eggleston and Friedlander as mentors, my actual working methods are closer to a half-assed, pajama-wearing Ansel Adams ... picture him as portrayed by Jeff Bridges in The Big Lebowski, if you will.
