Camera: – noun 1. a boxlike device for holding film sensitive to light, having an aperture controlled by a shutter that, when opened, admits light enabling an object to be focused on the film, usually by means of a lens, thereby producing a photographic image.
Done with “The Dictionary of Image” pool in mind. ~ View On Black
Playing with textures, moods, feelings, borders, text, filters and an image of my two new, "old" Mamiya C330, square-format, cameras that I got off of e-bay.
“The Art of Seduction with a Camera.” – One can seduce women with a camera. I've done it. Perhaps, it is the camera. Then again, perhaps it is just the power the camera gives to us men, to project a hidden “you” outwards. The endearing romantic, the gregarious "bon vivant," the dashing, neer-do-well that you really wish to be sometimes.
Then again, maybe they were in the mood to be seduced, and I was the lucky one THEY chose. We guys don't always have the amount of control we think we have when it comes to seduction. Usually, she knows what might happen long before we do, and the best we can hope for is to not talk or act in such a way that makes her change her mind.
I've done that too. "You were THAT close, Mr. Long! Now, none for you!"
Here, I’m just seducing myself with a camera, photoshop and my own imagination, it would seem. This image could have turned out 50 different ways. I had absolutely nothing in mind when I started, except for a texture I ended up not using.
I am not sure whether or not I really like this; some images hit you immediately, others have to grow on you. But I am – at least temporarily – pleased with it. Mucking about creatively on a Saturday morning. I could see this as a magazine article illustration.
I should be fishing. I think I will bug out now and go..
It’s Bad, Y’Know by R. L. Burnside. It has nothing to do with the image, but I was listening to it as I worked. It’s got a groove that put “ a hurtin’ on me.” ~ www.goear.com/listen/022b5c3/It´s-Bad-you-R.L-Burnside

Went to the Fotografica market in Doesburg with 50D-Ray.As a Pentax fan I had decided to see if I could find a nice and affordable analog Pentax. Found this Pentax MX and bought it. Ray bought a Canon AT1. So next fotoshoot we are going to try some good old analog photography.
The newest addition to our family. My girlfriend (Ashley) has been wanting to get a little more serious about taking photos and wanted a camera she could grow with. I already had a a6000, so the a5000 will be a nice addition. She can use my lenses as well so I'm excited to watch and help her grow.

I was so pleased to learn Emi decided to study photography. It's so much cooler than international diplomacy and ceramics. I needed a photograph to draw viewers into the old photostream tonight. A gorgeous girl in a wetsuit with a pile of cameras....... Yep. That ought to do it.

Here is the first shot from my new camera.
I got it yesterday and have been playing with it today. I think it will take a while before I fully get the hang of it. I will continue posting photos from the Olympus until I have fully figured it out. Wish me luck. Any tips will be gratefully received.
Tutta l'infelicità degli uomini proviene da una cosa sola: dal non saper restare tranquilli in una camera.
Possibilmente con la persona amata.
Picked this up the other day from a stall on St Georges Market.
This is stamped with "Luftwaffen Eigentum" - Property of the Luftwaffe and has an F at the beginning of the serial number which denotes that it was made for the Luftwaffe. The large knurled knob on top is a double spring loaded winding mechanism. It is large so that it could be turned by a pilot when wearing gloves. Unfortunately this didn't come with the K film Cartridges needed to actually use the camera, so a search of the internet is necessary. So from what i have gleaned this is a Robot II made especially for the Luftwaffe between 1939-43 approx.
I have a bit more research to do but i'm happy that i got me a bargain.
