Sunset colors bathe the smooth waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The exposed rocks along the Maine shoreline looked amazing there in that lighting.

Slightly new technique. Don't really know how effective it is!

The San Francisco Bay Bridge is gorgeous at night, illuminated by 25,000 individual white LEDs lights that change patterns. This is the view from the Ferry Plaza.

 

I processed a balanced HDR photo from a single RAW exposure.

When my GPS got lost it looped to this side road for just a mile to turn me back to the correct route. This place was there ... maybe the GPS is smarter than I think. (maybe GPS means great photo scenes)

Formby beach was full of birds and remarkably empty of people that day.

Unusually long raggedy feathers on the broad back of an emu at the Adelaide Zoo.

Well, it's as sensible a name as ladybird, and that's what they're called in Bulgaria and Argentina. According to Wikipedia anyway...

Thanks to another photographer, Bruce, for spotting this beauty. I don't often get this close to a perching harrier.
