Was a rainy crappy day so we decided to go to the abandoned subway in Rochester NY. A lot of my contacts have pictures from this place and I always wanted to go. It was well worth the trip. Amazing artwork painted on every inch of the place. It was awesome!
Not the nicest of pictures I realize. I wanted to show the horrible side of urbex. When you go in to these places you really never know what you will find. It broke my heart when we found this :(

Decided to make a dirty photo. Lots of old style film grain and stuff...
Best viewed NOT on firefox... as much as I love it.. it really does hell on colors and contrast. Chrome, IE, ect all work fine as far as I can tell.
Viewing this image with the FireFox browser KILLS the colors and contrast in this photo. Chrome and IE work fine.
I think I need a new camera. All the shots I took at this place have weird noise in them. the noise kind of looks like rectangular shapes and it's all of over the images in a kind of pattern. Seems to be a electronic problem of some sort :( I tried my hardest to get rid of most of it but it leaves the images looking a little strange. I suppose you can't really notice if you just take a quick look at them. Sigh ....
When I saw that door broken off its hinges and jutting towards me I instantly fell in love with this scene.

I have seen so many pictures of this place. You really have to experience it in "real life" though, to really appreciate its beauty.

As I look through the shots I took here I realize that most of this place is long halls with pillars. Oh well....
We went to a lovely Grave Yard for trains! It was really something else. Lots of cool things to look at.
This place was really cool. I have to go back because I was pressed for time and the clock was ticking against the setting sun. I took a lot of shots that would have been better if I had took my time :(

We found these bones just as we were leaving. We almost missed it!
This place was HUGE!!! and very very dark. Pitch black actually :( It was very annoying infact...
Had to light this scene with a huge spot light.
This old Mercury Topaz that sits inside the Hanna Roundhouse has literally become a shit box for all the birds that reside there.
Almost missed this little gem. Was going to pass this section up until one of my crew told me to check it out.

The sun was going down as I was leaving this spot. I thought it looked nice.
My co-worker decided she was going to give me a picture of her son. He really loves to play piano and she was really interested with some of my shots. She really liked this one in particular and asked if I could clone her son into the picture. I want it to look as good as possible but unfortunataly I really suck with photoshop...
I'm going post this, maybe you guys and gals could give me a few tips or suggestions to make it look better or seem a little more real.

This is a strange wheel chair. It's strange because of its enviroment. I'n the middle of some factory. So very much out of place.

For some strange reason CAs show up in the middle window only when viewed on black! This must be haunted :)
This hallway was one of two halls that actually had natural light coming in.
When I was processing this I zoomed in to see if I had some CAs to clean up in the far light source and I found a ghost !!!!!!!

Pretty much this whole structure is completely covered in paint ball splash. An excellent location for the sport. We actually encountered about 30 guys completely suited up in camo that day. they offered us Head wear and goggles incase a stray paintball came flying our way while shooting. We thanked them but decided to go on our way. Kinda hard to take pictures wearing goggles in the middle of gun play.

This picture actually has an interesting story behind it. I have been to this location on three seperate occasions. There has always been this certain door that was locked. Was never able to see what was on the other side of said door ....
On my third visit to the place there was a modest hole right next to the door. It looked as if somebody decided they were not a fan of the locked door and used a sledge hammer to break through the concrete wall right next to it.
Sooo.. I took advantage of the situation and climbed through the newly renovated wall and found this nice little squat in the formally hidden room :)

This is an old photo I found while browsing my backup drive.
This building was in horrible shape. By far the most dangerous structure I have explored to date. At one point I actually fell through the floor! Fell all the way up to my waist ... I'm so thankful that there was a heavy metal beam right beside me that I grabbed on to. it was really a wake up call. I have to learn to look at the floors when I explore rather then my surroundings....

I'm kinda pissed off with this photo to be honest. I had my camera set on portrait mode for some unknown reason when I shot this. If you Own a Canon you know what this means. I ended up with the image being a little to soft for my liking :( Oh well...
