Right on the beach, next to Brighton Pier, jutting out into the sea, is a large circular sculpture, a gift from the Mayor of Naples, officially called The Big Green Bagel but known locally as the "Seasick Doughnut". This unique piece is both loved and loathed by the resident's of Brighton and has been the subject of many a heated debate in the past. One thing is for sure, you certainly can't miss it!.....information from www.wcities.com

A glorious spring day for the 2017 Brighton Marathon with the competitors running to Ovingdean and then returning towards the centre of Brighton. the Marina and the new residential developments, the Palace Pier, the remnants of the West Pier and the impressive i360 are visible through the heat haze.
