One of my older photos which some of you already saw. This photo I am editing and re-editing for quite some time now, and I'm NOT touching it again!!! :) It is present for you my dear Flickr friends! Thank you for all your kind comments and support in 2012, I am really looking forward to the year 2013 and all of your beautiful photos!
Greetings and... thanks for watching! ;-)
P.S. This photo is dedicated to all my Flickr friends, but especially to my dear friend and poet Branko Mikić a.k.a. Pannonianart. I know how much you like Adriatic sea, so enjoy buddy! ;-)
Swirling dark masses of clouds slowly churning in the post tornadic aftermath over the Oklahoma panhandle. The air was incredibly hot and humid, and the wind was at times fierce. All was eerily silent as I stood taking in the last light of day under the boiling dark clouds.

(Note: This is a color photograph!) The storm has shaken the house unlike anything I've ever experienced. It was a real Wizard of Oz moment.
Just before sunset this evening...no post production at all. I liked the way the darkened land, (darkened by that mass of heavy raincloud above - made a natural top & bottom black border, as some flicksters are wont to add afterwards. But this one is natural, & a bit messier, & all the better for it, imho.
See the next shot in my stream for the same view 24hrs later. what a difference a day makes. Thanks to Wes for the evocative description, now added to the title above... :-)

Grey clouds almost completely covered the skies pre dawn this morning, but I headed to one of my favourite beaches just incase Mother nature performed at sunrise, strong northerly winds whipped the beach and distant rumbles of thunder echoed around me, spotting rain, the skies did light with contrasts over the jetty... if you look closely there is also a small lightning strike where the stone wall meet the jetty.... Hudson was safely waiting in the car.

here's another shot from the other nights crackling display. i haven't seen the moon that low on the horizon before. that night mama nature gave it to me with a bang and a zap. i am truly fortunate to have gotten this. almost all of the 40 something shots came out with just a slight glow in the clouds.
To experience the whole tingling sensation please view large
the not so clear lightning shot from the same night.
