Johnny's Bar & Grill in Hollister, California receives visitors from around the world due to the 1953 film, "The Wild One" featuring Marlon Brando as the leader of a biker gang. The film was reportedly inspired by a series of events that occurred in 1947 around the time of the July 4th holiday. Bikers converging in town reportedly got into numerous altercations, overwhelming the town's police force. Youth culture icons of the American Biker and Outlaw Bikers developed as a result of the "Hollister Riot" and the movie that followed a few years later. Thus, on the 4th of July when Hollister holds its Motorcycle Rally, plenty of people stop by Johnny's.

Artist Ronald Rocha painted the most recent mural on the outer wall of Johnny's. It can be found in Wentz Alley off of San Benito Street.

The bar has been called, "the friendliest little bar in town", a dive bar, and a favorite watering hole for many. A bar has been in that location since 73+ years ago. Though I don't know many people who are nostalgic about getting beat up by a biker gang, I think there are many who have enjoyed the story that still runs strong about Hollister being the "Birth Place of the American Biker". And who can help but look at a picture featuring Marlon Brando? I have got to watch that movie.

The racer pictured at Bonneville is Mike Corbin who set a speed record for electric motorcycles in the 1970s. That record held for 38 years. Corbin runs a motorcycle parts factory in Hollister. The company is especially known for its motorcycle seats.

Love is in the air and the night is young. Annual Boozefighters overnighter, San Diego 2011

Ike (Prospect) was in a Club named "Boozefighters." He told me they were a bunch of drinkers with a motorcycle problem! www.bfmcnatl.com/. www.rotrally.com/. Scheduling did not allow me to see as much of the Rot Rally as I would have liked.

This tattoo spotted at the San Diego toy run for the kids, had its own personality. When the owner would move his head, the tattoo would talk, smile and could hold a cigarette.

If I'm not mistaken, and I'm sure someone will correct me, his name is "Tank." Violators MC President and Boozefighters supporter. If I'm reading the gesture right it's: "Hey Bro! I'm a biker! I love it! I'm judging the wet t shirt contest and life is good!" So much said in one little gesture...

Did I say “famous”? Infamous is more like it.
