From November 11th to December 12th, the G.B.T.H. will host my new installation, Deliberare Humanum Est.
Since February the army is in charge of the security of the city of Rio de Janeiro, and recently my country democraticaly elected Jair Bolsonaro, that defends the military intervention and dictatorship, as president.
My exhibition is an invitation to deliberate about the weird times we live in.
Putting together a work like this is never simple and I want to thank Megan Prumier, Agustkov, Sheldon Bergman, Theda Tammas, Amelie Marcoud, Nath Baxton, Luc and Andraus Thor for the amazing help.
The opening is tomorrow, Nov 11th, 12pm (noon) SLT and at 1pm SLT Luc will spin some tunes related to the work.

While discussing about the opening date for her installation, me and Ash realized that October 7th was also the day of the Brazilian presidential elections. Not sure if you are aware, but the strongest candidate is, to say the least, absurd. Fascist, homophobic, defends torture by idolizing Col. Ustra, that during the Brazilian military dictatorship used to, amongst others, put rats on women's genitals, and is pro-rape (never though this could be even a term).
Here is a BBC article for a better idea of who Bolsonaro is and what he stands for.
The votes started counting in the middle of the opening party. I don't know you, and far from me to judge, but when someone like Jair Bolsonaro is leading the pre-electoral surveys, or even when someone like him is accepted as a candidate for president, needs a lot of guts to go throught the day. We chose to keep reminding of what is important. Those are times of chaos that we're living, and not only here but worldwide. If we don't focus, we will get sunk in the idea that there is no solution. To be very honest, I don't know if there is a solution either, but we shouldn't give up fighting and standing for our beliefs. Human rights are for all. Sexual orientation isn't a mental disorder. Feminism is about equality between men and women. Love is beautiful, in all shapes and forms.
Bolsonaro got 46% out of the 50% votes needed to win the elections. There will be a second round on October 28th.
