Back to the Crayford Marshes taken last November! To get the colour all I did was to add yellow by taking the blue away!

I have managed to wake up again at dawn today. Well, it has been one of the most spectacular mornings of the whole year. If you have some patience, you'll see something nice in the next days, one post per day takes the blues away ... :)

Nebbia congelata

not sure what tree this is? found it while walking along the streets of DC during my trip there. adjusted tones and levels to bring out the light against these buds (or are they fruits?)

Music by Lynyrd Skynyrd Tuesday's Gone

Train roll on, on down the line,

Won't you please take me far away?

Now I feel the wind blow outside my door,

Means I'm, I'm leaving my woman at home.

Tuesday's gone with the wind.

My baby's gone with the wind again.

And I don't know where I'm going.

I just want to be left alone.

Well, when this train ends I'll try again,

But I'm leaving my woman at home.

Tuesday's gone with the wind.

Tuesday's gone with the wind.

Tuesday's gone with the wind.

My baby's gone with the wind.

Train roll on

Tuesday's gone

Train roll on many miles from my home,

See, I'm riding my blues away.

Tuesday, you see, she had to be free

But somehow I've got to carry on.

Tuesday's gone with the wind.

Tuesday's gone with the wind.

Tuesday's gone with the wind.

My baby's gone with the wind.

Some blueberries to chase the blues away. Blueberries are believed to be antioxidants as well. So grab a bowl and take as much as you can. There's more where they came from (our fridge hehehe).

Happy Monday Blues!

"Well I know, you know better, everything I say

Meet me in the country for a day

We'll be happy

And we'll dance

Oh, we're gonna dance our blues away

And if I'm feelin' good to you and you're feelin' good to me

There ain't nothin' we can't do or say

Feelin' good

Feeling fine

Oh, baby, let the music play

Whoa-oh-whoa, listen to the music

Whoa-oh-whoa, listen to the music

Whoa-oh-whoa, listen to the music

All the time

Like a lazy flowing river

Surrounding castles in the sky

And the crowd is growing bigger

Listening for the happy sounds

And I got to let them fly ..........................."

...yes, my fine flickr friends I am back on board ;) . I had a half day off work today and went down the beach - turns out what I needed was to jump in my beloved ocean and reboot. Ah I love it down there during the week - it is friendlier, more chilled, more space and then with the lovely soft autumn sun and the warm seas I was renourished. I brought my camera with me saying to myself 'its okay Rosie if you do not feel like taking any shots - just relax' - well I could not help myself , after getting in the water I was awash with mojo again.

Thank you all so much for your kind words yesterday and this week - it means so much. Murphys law of course that I get an explore for my shot yesterday too - perhaps Mr/Mrs. Explore read my post and gave me a mercy explore to pep me up . Have to go to bed early now as going to be Up and Adam tomorrow morning - have a lovely day/morning/evening everyone :) .

Cope's Gray Treefrog ~

Wikipedia

The Cope's Gray Treefrog (Hyla chrysoscelis) is a species of tree frog which is found in the United States. It is almost indistinguishable from the Gray Treefrog, Hyla versicolor, and shares much of its geographic range. Both species are variable in color, mottled gray to gray-green, resembling the bark of trees. These are tree frogs of woodland habitats, though they will sometimes travel into more open areas to reach a breeding pond. The only readily noticeable difference between the two species is the call—Cope's has a faster paced, and slightly higher pitched, call than H. versicolor. In addition, H. chrysoscelis is reported to be slightly smaller, more aboreal, and more tolerant of dry conditions than H. versicolor (Martof et al., 1980). The range of H. chrysoscelis is more southerly—it is apparently the species found in the lower elevation Piedmont and Coastal Plain of Virginia and the Carolinas. In those areas, H. versicolor may be present only in the Appalachians (Martof et al. 1980). The Bird-voiced Tree Frog, Hyla avivoca, is similar to Hyla chrysoscelis/versicolor, but is smaller (25–50 mm length, vs. 32–62 mm for the Grey Tree Frogs).

My Frog Poem

I had a little jumping frog

I trained to come and go.

We enjoyed each other's company

and I often told her so.

She lived out in my garden,

in a clump of grass you see.

And she ate the bugs and insects

that often bothered me.

She was busy in the early morn,

a hopping everywhere.

Of helping keep my garden clean,

of pests unwanted there.

When the sun rose high,

she hopped for home,

this frog had done her best,

and stayed till the cool of the eve,

till the sun had gone to rest.

Then when evening came,

she roamed about,

a hopping here and there.

She croaked a funny little tune,

that made me be aware.

Of the beauty of God's creation,

in a garden that pleases me.

Of fruit and vegetables of every kind,

and this frog for company.

Take time to learn about nature,

and all that God has made.

Enjoy a little bit of heaven on earth,

in the outdoors every day.

It will keep you happy and healthy,

and chase the blues away you see.

A little bit of outside happiness,

is what every body needs.

Must of been a tear from your eye

Everything'll be okay

Funny, thought I felt a sweet summer breeze

Must of been you sighin' so deep

Don't worry we're gonna find a way

I'm waitin', waitin' on a sunny day

Gonna chase the clouds away

Waitin' on a sunny day

Without you, I'm workin' with the rain fallin' down

I'm half a party in a one dog town

I need you to chase these blues away

Without you, I'm a drummer girl that can't keep a beat

An ice cream truck on a deserted street

I hope that you're coming to stay

Waitin' on a sunny day

Hard times, baby well they come to us all

Sure as the tickin' of the clock on the wall

tempi duri, bambina bene verranno tutti a noi

certo come il ticchettare dell'orologio sulla parete

certo come il cambio della notte in giorno

il tuo sorriso piccola, porta la luce della mattina nei miei occhi

sbalza via la depressione quando mi alzo

spero che tu stia venendo per restare

No matter what

I'll wait for you

Come with the wind

Oh, my love

come back soon

How long ago I've forgotten

why I stood

Away from you

Every moment

seems the worst one

Come with the wind

please

I know,I know

Who you are to me

No matter what

I'll wait for you

Like the ocean needs the moon to take the tides away,

all we need is a little time to chase the blues away

sun is out and it feels like its always the same,

let this last forever turn tomorrow into yesterday.

"i hear the train a comin'

it's rolling 'round the bend..."

went to the city today for the beginning of the tear down of my oh-so-beautiful store. hard stuff, but lots of amazing souls filled my heart today. we should be done tomorrow, which means i won't be taking those beautiful ferry rides as often. or staring at this train in edmonds.

nothing like a ice, cool drink to drive the blues away.

amazingly, shooting portraits with a macro lens wide open, coupled with a 1.4x TC, yields quite acceptable bokeh.

yum.

Lovely peonies, an old diary and a letter never written seemed like a pretty sight to send Monday blues away.

Happy start into the new week everyone!

Taken on Saturday evening just before the fog disappeared. Yes, I know that sun is too hot and I know I shouldn't be shooting straight into the sun but it's my favourite shot! I've now heard that I should have used some sort of filter to burn away the fog...some day when I grow up. :) In the meantime I'll just have to keep shooting wild and hoping for the best. LOL

Shot a fair while ago, I was hanging off the top of Rocky Point at Torquay trying to avoid the giant "speed hump" of land that obstructs the shot unless you go for a pretty severe crop like I did with this image. The sunrise was about as good as I can ever remember and sat perfectly for nearly ten minutes, beautiful rich red colors in the clouds and deep blues away from the sun. The color cast was a bit of a bugger but a snappy adjustment layer calmed it down a bit.

I hope your Monday is not so blue :) Have a fantastic week everyone!!

This photo was taken at the Le Reve show at Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas which I watched last summer. It's one of the best shows I've seen, very entertaining.

Explore Front Page! Mondays are not so bad after all. Thanks everyone :)

And I'd let that lonesome whistle,

Blow my Blues away.

And I wish I could wash all my weeping blues away

And watch them disappear on morning tide

So run honey run, hide in the wind
