"How many times must a man look up

Before he can see the sky?

Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have

Before he can hear people cry?

Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows

That too many people have died?

The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,

The answer is blowin' in the wind. "

How many roads must a man walk down

How many seas must a white dove sail

Before she sleeps in the sand ?

Yes, how many times must the cannon balls fly

Before they're forever banned ?

"How Many Roads" är min tolkning till tema ”Många” för Fotosöndag.

En symbolisk tolkning med första textraden "How many roads must a man walk down” till den legendariska protestsången ”Blowin’in in the wind”, som sedan följs av en serie av retoriska frågor om fred, krig och frihet.

"How Many Roads" is my contribution to theme "Many" for the photogroup Fotosöndag.

A symbolic picture releated to the famous protestsong "Blowin'in in the Wind" where the first texline is "How many roads must a man walk down” .

—Bob Dylan (full lyrics here--it was a little too depressing for me to post the entire thing here, with such a beautiful photo!)

i can't believe that we've already been at war for 5+ years. it seems like such a nightmare to me. and yet, as the sigma macro lens is quick to point out, such beauty can still be found in the world, on such a small scale....am i making sense here? it's so wonderful to be a photographer right now, because it is so important to see the beauty in everyday life.

Perhaps the best way to answer the questions from a song, is exposing them.

Open grasslands bow in a stiff breezes along the Sixes River estuary near Port Orford and Cape Blanco on the southern Oregon coast.

I was hoping to go back out to get a better picture; maybe on a day the wind was not blowing so hard. But I never got back out.

Of course these needles made me think of Bob Dylan's song Blow'in in the Wind.

must a man walk down
