Even on the coldest evening, this was worth a view. It certainly gives Brighton another perspective.

Some keen eyes might have noticed that I had uploaded this photo ages ago, however I've put it back up as I'm hoping its about to reach the final round of 'best shots competition' (And i need to save a larger version of it). Its a great competition I can recommend to anyone keen on photography. Amateurs and professionals can enter and the best thing is that make it through or not, the photos you enter are then judged and you are given a score out of 100 as well as comments from the judges, which I love as not often you get very honest opinions andscores on your photos! And its a lot of fun to see what professional photographers think of your photos as well as tips etc.

UPDATE: some how it has got through to the final round!! I think the benchmark was around a score of 240 out of 300 and this was my highest, scoring around 260! No chance it will go into the top 10 of the animal category but just really happy it made it to the end!

Parliament Hill is the Canada's Parliament building complex. The building in picture is the clock tower of the parliament building referred to as Peace tower.

Every year several hundred thousands tulips are sent to Ottawa, Canada from Netherlands during the spring season. The tradition has been going on for several years since the royal family took refuge in Canada during the war.

The planting of tulips in the first week of may is also the time for tulip festival in the Ottawa. The tulip festival in addition to a display of wide variety of tulips at various location along the streets, major building and monuments and parks, also includes a host of other activities including music performances by well known artists. It is one of the major attractions to city in spring-summer time.
