and beyond to Portland in the hazy distance. A clear blue sky reflected in the sea and the shallows with swirly shadow patterns in the water.
The Iron Age hillfort above Worbarrow Bay was occupied by the Romans when they invaded Britain. The area is now said to be haunted by phantom Roman soldiers and they have been seen several times over the years. Traditionally they are supposed to appear at times of national crisis. If that's the case, I'm sure it won't be long until they're seen again!
