Thank You

I'm heading back to Vegas next week for CES (Consumer Electronics Show). I'm pretty excited, the show is kind of like Disneyland for engineers and gadget geeks (me), and the fact it's in Vegas only makes it better (at least to me). Now I just need to figure out everything I want to see, the show floor is huge, covering the whole convention center and many of the exhibition spaces in nearby hotels. Let me know if there is something I should make an effort to see.

This photo is from a trip I took a year or two ago. The anticipation of my upcoming trip made me want to dig into my Vegas photo archives, and I decided to process this one. I took this after a tough day at the blackjack table, I needed a break from the casino, so I went up to the Eiffel Tower observation deck.

These are pretty neat to watch. The water moves with music. You get wet from the mist in some areas. We didn't get wet when taking these shots, but later we were standing in a different location and had to quickly cover our cameras and didn't get any shots.

Wishing everyone a happy Sunday and a great week ahead.

Bellagio is a commune in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located on Lake Como. It has long been famous for its setting at the intersection of the three branches of the Y-shaped lake, which is also known as Lario.

Bellagio is situated at the tip of the peninsula separating the lake's two southern arms, with the Alps visible across the lake to the north.

The tourist centre occupies the extreme part of the promontory, while the numerous districts are disseminated both along the lake shores and upon the slopes of the hills. The great Pleistocene glaciations with their imposing flows coming from the Valtellina and Valchiavenna modelled the actual landscape of the Lake Como: for at least four times the glaciers went as far as the Brianza to the South. From the ancient glacial blanket only the highest tops emerged, one of them was mount St. Primo, which obliged the glaciers to divide themselves into two arms. A luxuriance of trees and flowers is favoured by a mild and sweet climate.

Bellagio called also "the pearl of Lake Como" was already famous in Roman times. Its beautiful and strategically important position has written its history.

*.:。✿*゚‘゚・We travelled by ferry to visit this quaint little village in Lake Como.

Apologies for hopping from one place to another, my pictures remaining (after computer broke) are few and not organized.

So we`ve zoomed from Cornwall to Ilaly ;-)

Enjoy your Sunday my dearest friends xxxx

Taken at the Bellagio in Las Vegas... this is just a small corner of the ceiling in the Hotels lobby that was conceived and done ( with help from his apprentices) by one man ( Dale Chihuly, thank you Tony for the name & seamesse for the web link)... over 2,000 blown glass flowers up to a couple of feet in diameter.

In his show room you can buy a glass flower in a vase for around $1,500. ... that's for just '1' flower!

So, if you're like me and can't afford that extravagant price, a photo would have to do!:)

The Bellagio is a sight to behold, if you've never seen it it needs to be on your 'to do' list!=}

Another shot from my hotel window. This one includes some movement from the fountains. Very difficult though to do the fountains justice!

The fountains at the Bellagio are probably the most impressive sight in Vegas. Hugely entertaining - I could have watched them all night. Looks better LARGE.

A much photographed location in Las Vegas...but while the spectators where looking at the fountain show in front of the Bellagio Hotel, I was trying to find Casper the friendly ghost in those spooky clouds spread across "sin city" in the upper right!

A bit of humor today!

Bellagio

Bellagio Hotel - Las Vegas - Nevada- USA - 2013

Bellagio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region of Lombardy. It is located on Lake Como, also known by its Latin-derived name, the Lake of Lario. The arms of the lake form an inverted Y. The triangular land mass at the base of the inverted Y is the Larian Triangle. The Como arm of the lake lies to its south west, the Lecco arm of the lake to its south east. At the northern point of the triangle sits Bellagio, looking across to the northern arm of the lake and, behind it, the Alps. It has always been famous for its location.

Bellagio is a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, USA. It is owned by MGM Mirage and was built on the site of demolished Dunes hotel and casino. Inspired by the Lake Como resort of Bellagio in Italy, Bellagio is famed for its elegance. One of its most notable features is an 8 acres (32,000 m²) artificial lake between the building and the Strip, which houses the Fountains of Bellagio, a large dancing water fountain synchronized to music. - Wikipedia
